This property is amazing! About a 15 minute trek uphill however the views from the hotel are amazing!! Hotel staff were immediately welcoming, ensuring we had everything, recommending places to eat and visit for our first trip to Lake Como. Lovely well decorated rooms, lovely Italian style hotel, lovely breakfast! Thank you to all at Hotel Loveno for a great trip!

    the setting was very italian, it could have been a movie set. the piazza was vibrant, plenty of people but not crowded Staff at the hotel, cafes and restaurants were friendly and welcoming. A village to walk around and easy access to ferry and bus.

    Mennagio was a lovely little town with fab links to Varenna and Bellagio (we day-tripped). Hired a boat from AC boats which I recommend as it was decently priced :) Cafe del Pas in the square does the best aperol spritz’s! We found food and drink to be very decently priced (e.g. could get a pizza for €10 and a glass of wine for €5), especially compared to the nearby more famous villages

    Menaggio is a beautiful town and we loved that is was much quieter than Bellagio which is over run with tourists. We went swimming in the lake at the local beach, enjoyed walks up into the hills behind the town and walks along the promenade. There are lots of places to eat out or enjoy an Aperitif, but we also enjoyed making a picnic and eating lakeside. You can easily catch a ferry to visit other towns or hire a boat and go on your own adventure. We caught the ferry from Como. The fast ferry is not always easy to get a ticket for and the slow ferry takes over 2 hours. We later realised we could have caught the train to Varenna from Milan and then caught a quick ferry to Menaggio.

    Menaggio is stunning and very clean.

    Menaggio is stunning and very clean. Our accommodation was in an excellent, comfortable apartment with all the facilities you need as a traveller - fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, comfortable beds and walk in shower. It was next to the ferry terminal so we could hop on a ferry to different parts of Lake Como. Our apartment was on the flat area in Menaggio, close to the centre, restaurants and supermarkets, making it easy to get to places. There is a reasonable local bus service to that we used to go to other villages and markets. Taxis are not great or easy to get and for much of the accommodation there you need to be prepared for some steep walks up and down each day.

    Menaggio was very peaceful and quiet yet we had great restaurants to choose for dinner. Easy ferry rides over to Varenna and Bellagio during the day. We hired a private boat one day and did a private e-bike tour another day. So much fun and beauty

    Menaggio is a beautiful town, about midway up Lake Como, in one of the best regions. An easy town to navigate without too many steep levels with plenty of excellent restaurants and cafes. Not too many retail shops, and a good selection of nice hotels. The ferry connects to other towns around the lake.

    location i beautiful. have to walk up stairs to your room (100) but it is well worth it!. beautiful view across Lake Como to Varenna and Belaggio. Short walk into or car ride into Mennagio. Staying near Mennagio allows you to be away from the hustle and bustle of Como and the extra tourists frequenting Bellagio and towns between Mennagio and the town of Como. Service and attitude of hosts was warm, helpful, and welcoming. View out our window = wonderful. breakfast was wonderful out on the guest balcony especially provided for that purpose.

    Beautiful small hotel at the edge of Lake Como. Lovely room decorated in traditional style, very elegant. Well appointed bathroom. We had a corner room with one window overlooking the lake and the other looking at the mountain. Room was very clean. Lovely café on ground floor with delicious pastries and coffee has large windows overlooking the lake. The staff was very friendly. Hotel is a few blocks from ferry stop that takes you to other towns around the lake. Menaggio is peaceful and easy to walk. Definitely recommend staying here.

    Stayed here for our honeymoon! This hotel was amazing!! It has true Italian charm and was so beautiful. We loved everything about it, the lobby, the bar room, restaurant and room. The pool was incredible, there are lounge chairs surrounding the pool and lake and there’s a private dock where you can jump off and swim in. The views are insane. The hotel is also in perfect location to the little main town.

    Everything was really great. First of all, the location is great. The view of Lake Como spreading out in front of me and the beautiful flowers around the house were wonderful. And, in fact, Madame's presence is even more wonderful. I was truly healed by her loving smile and support. In the end, I felt so comfortable that I was sad to go home. I returned to Japan today, but I want to see you again soon.

    The apartment has an amazing view of lake como from the balcony. Alessio is so helpful and freely available to communicate, nothing is a bother. You can walk in to menaggio centre in 25 mins (it is a decent walk home uphill, but that guarantees the view) cook for yourself to eat on the balcony or eat at the restaurant underneath, which is delicious. Will definitely come again, highly recommend.

    Perfect hotel in the most idilic breathtaking location! Totally adorable and beautiful place to come back after busy day exploring lace Como! Menaggio is much quieter and it was just perfect!     A great location - just a short walk to the centre of town, plus there's a good-sized supermarket (Conad) only 5 mins away. The place is VERY quiet, which is not something guaranteed in Italy. However: I went in early March - VERY off season. The apartment is simple, but comfortable enough. The kitchenette is enough for simple meals, but beware: there's no oven.

    The location was absolutely excellent. Right above the ferry port which was very handy for exploring Lake Como. The property was clean, spacious, and the balcony was brilliant to sit out on at night. Brilliant host with fantastic communication. The extra touches such as the Prosecco and crisps were very much appreciated. We will definitely return!

    This apartment is fantastic - set in beautiful grounds, with a little garden and a fabulous pool with the most amazing views over Lake Como. Despite being busy in Menaggio, this property is quiet, and just across the road from the bus stop into town. Josef was a very helpful host. We would recommend staying here without hesitation.

    The place is in the center of everything you need and right by the lakeside, near restos, shops and ferry to other places in Lake Como. Location is everything and exceedingly cheap for the price you pay considering you are in Lake Como. We love the people from the reception and cafe too! They are very approachable.

    Simply great. The open kitchen and living room is amazing, fully equipped with all you need. The bbq and the area near it is really good. Also the views are beautiful, with the mountains and the lake como in the back. Eva was a very good host. Very kind and helpful.
