5 stars for this hotel is a big shame. Couldnt avoid the smell of deepfried food, the constant noise of the toilet that didnt work well. It was horrible and above all a big middle finger to all the Masseria’s nearby with a 4 star rating. This hotel isnt worth 3 stars.
Cala Corvino is just 200 metres from the coast and its beautiful beaches. It features a swimming pool, tennis court, and air-conditioned rooms. It offers a gourmet restaurant and is set in its garden....

the staff was really nice and helpful,
we had a private apartment with kitchen, it was ok, good kitchen equipment and big fridge,
nice flowers on the balcony,
the region of puglia is very nice, close to nice cities if you have a car, from the resort you can make some nice hikes on the coast to the nearest cities - we recommend hike to Polignano al Mare with a designated trial on the coast (look for white-red marks)
can be good for families with kids and with a car;

We are happy that we avoided Bari and instead chose wonderful Monopoli as home base for day-trips across the region. While Monopoli and the cities in general are clean and tidy, there is one general issue for the region: Garbage. It's everywhere. Plastic, glass, you name it, is all littered along roadsides and even on the coastal pathways. The magnitude is staggering and it's such a shame.

I'm very glad I chose Monopoli over Polignano a Mare as a base for our trip in Puglia. Taste is, of course, subjective, but I think Monopoli is the nicest coastal town around Bari, it has a fairly big old town with a lot of quaint streets to explore, plenty of restaurants and even a good stretch of rocky, cliff-y coastline you can actually walk on, peppered with a few small beaches. I imagine it gets just as busy in summer but in April it was less crowded than Polignano and overall feels like there's more space. It's also very well connected, ~ 20 min from Ostuni, ~ 5 min from Polignano, ~1h10 from Lecce, ~30 min from Bari all on the main trainline we used everyday.

Monopoli is a very clean and safe place where you feel comfortable exploring both at day and at night. The historic areas are perfect for pedestrians. We really enjoyed walking the pathways along the Adriatic Sea with historic castles and fortresses, the docks with fishermen returning with their catch, and the beautiful waterfront views.

Before you visit Monopoli, I recommend that you get to know the history of Puglia and it's towns. The history is very interesting and helps to understand why this region looks the way it does.
Location Location Location!!!!
The location of M213 is super central close to the bus/train stations AND to the historic city AND to the port AND to the best restaurents and bars! Lucia, the host, is such a genereous and caring person. I arrived at the peak of the heatwave & she welcomed me with fresh fruits and cold water. She is extremely nice wnd helpful! What a Gem! What an Angel! Let us NOT forget that she also made me her home- made foccaccia! Leaving Monopoli showered with love!
The apartment is located 100 m from the Monopoli train station, from there you can easily travel to Polignano a Mare, Bari, Ostuni, Brindisi and Lecce. Everything was clean and very nicely decorated, beautiful, modern style.
But the best about this rental is not the flat..
The family who owns it is the most welcoming, most flexible and most generous we have ever come across! We have travelled a lot, but B.'s hospitability is unmatchable! We cannot thank her enough for her generosity!
Everything. We’ve been in a road trip in the south of Italy, and we stayed in some of the top rated villas, b&b’s and hotels of the Amalfi Coast and Puglia, and we could say without any hesitation that this place was by far the best. It is located in the historical centre of Monopoli, the staff is incredibly nice and helpful, and the apartment is just WOW ( like a dream vacation home, far away from your home) I highly recommend it.
The Playa del Mar hotel is indeed a boutique hotel, with beautifully, individually designed rooms. We had a Sea View room, with a balcony, the beach being literally a stone's throw away. We had breakfast on the rooftop terrace, the presentation was wonderful & the staff could not have been more helpful. Free parking in the surrounding streets. Restaurants & the old town within walking distance. Ideal location & a wonderful find.
Domenico, our host, was fabulous. He met us at the property to welcome us and let us in. He was extremely friendly and helpful with information about what was happening in Monopoli for the weekend, and suggestions on the best restaurants. The property was in a great location, it was very clean and well presented. We loved the small courtyard. We highly recommend this property. Thank you Domenico for all your helpful advice.
Carpe Diem is a small but cosy and comfortable appartement on the ground floor in the historic part of Monopoli. It is situated on a very tiny square with other houses in the middle of a street. On the opposite there is a church wich is been restuarated. All the shops and restaurants are nearby. For the good beaches you have to take the car (app. 15 - 30 min). The staff is very helpfull and friendly.
The apartment is new, modern and very comfortable
Comfortable beds, fast Wifi
Parking easy in front of the property
Monopoli is a perfect location to visit some of the best part of Puglia (valle d'Itra, Bari etc) and itself a nice city.
Property manager very helpful and available
Location is out of the city center. So quiet, but you need to take to the car or to walk 1,6 KM.
Andrea the host was great!! He was attentive to our needs. He was responsive and extremely helpful in suggestions of restaurants and excursions and he booked them for us- the best beach, dinner reservations and driving us to Polignano a Mare. The B&B is in a great location and is very clean! Breakfast on the terrace! I would recommend staying here if you go to Monopoli!
Everything. It’s quintessentially Italian yet has all the mod cons. The original stonework is stunning. Beautiful decor, spotlessly clean and perfectly located for a stroll through old town or for a swim in the beautiful clear waters of Monopoli. The hosts were exceptional- giving detailed information on best places to eat etc. They were lovely people.
We highly recommend
Clearly the best hotel to stay when visiting Monopoli. Well run by friendly, professional staff who are all most helpful. Location is great, wonderful seaside walk to the heart of the old town. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed.
Thank you to all the ladies at the front office as well as the gentleman who took care of our car and luggage - for outstanding service.
The Hotel is located perfectly outside the center of the city, right in front of Plaza Vittorio Emmanuele, 2-to-3-minute walk from the center of the city, the personnel especially Mary awesome, she really made a different, always making sure we had the best experience. The rooms very pretty and different made from a local stone.
Arnaldo and his beautiful and lovely wife are so friendly and helpful people. The apartment is very clean, well-equipped and very good located. All of the windows have interior view to the patio. One of the best accommodation in Monopoli I really recommend it!👍Next time we’ll choose this again👌
Great location and really great room. Can walk to a couple little beaches, and easy drive into Monopoli and Polignano. Best thing about this spot is Pietro, the Property Manager! Available to answer all of your questions, bring you breakfast, make amazing recommendations. Definitely recommend!
Next to the sea in Monopoli, this hotel had small but comfortable rooms and a very helpful staff. There was no breakfast on site but they were able to arrange breakfast at a cafe a few blocks away. Parking was available in a small public lot very convenient to the hotel
size - especially patio area. well equipped. great location. 5 mins to grocery store - 10 mins walk into old part of town / restaurants. easy parking. Best of all was Serena who was very easy to get hold of and responsive.
The breakfast was adequate and that's about all. As for the ladies working at breakfast time, they were brilliant. Always cheerful and doing their best to keep the breakfast buffet replenished.
A credit to the hotel.
Beautiful fully equipped apartment in the center of the action in Monopoli. Rooftop terrace was lovely place to relax with a glass of wine. Host was responsive and very helpful. Location was great.
Fabio was a fantastic host. He explained everything and showed us to some amazing restaurants in Monopoli. The house was clean and in a quiet area, and the WiFi worked perfectly.
It’s tucked away in the charming old town part of Monopoli, away from the noise and crowds, yet just a minute from the sea and numerous restaurants. Nice getaway.
