The pool is an infinity pool and was great with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas.

We loved our stay at Hotel Stefania. The hotel is quirky and traditional and right next to a beautiful beach. It has a lovely, well kept garden. Our room was nice and clean with a lovely view of the sea. The staff were all so lovely, friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious, there was plenty of choice. The restaurant is lovely with very nice staff and delicious food. There's a small supermarket just a few minutes walk away. There's lots to see and do nearby if you hire a car. The coastline is stunning, there are so many beautiful beaches. We did a wine tasting trip arranged for us by the hotel staff which was fantastic and also visited San Teodora which was lovely. We did a nice little walk at the bottom of Monte Nieduu just near the river where there's lots of wildflowers and wildlife to spot and also a lovely walk around Giants Grave of Su Mont'e s'Abe and the nearby castle ruins. I think Hotel Stefania was great value for money compared to other hotels we looked at, I'm really glad we chose to stay there !

The room was old, not very clean. The hotel charge us turistic tax 3,5 eur/person that is more expensive than anywhere else. The breakfast was really good so it gave better impression.

Olbia is all about the sea, and what a glorious turquoise sea it is. As the gateway to Sardinia’s stunning Emerald Coast, this down-to-earth town is often overlooked in favour of the more glamorous resorts. However, it does have attractions of its own.
The simple Basilica of San Simplicio dates to the 11th century and the Church of St Paul the Apostle is also medieval. The National Archaeology Museum houses Roman ships, as well as prehistoric artefacts from the surrounding area.
Sardinia has a wealth of prehistoric structures and one of these – the Tomba dei Giganti Su Monte‘e S’Abe – is near Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport and medieval Pedres Castle. Across the bay is Sa Testa Sacred Well, dating to at least 1200 BC.
Along the coast in Pittulongu are the real attractions – fantastic, unspoilt beaches from where you can see rocky Tavolara Island, a popular diving site. In summer, boats sail there from Isola Bianca Harbour, the arrival point of ferries from the Italian mainland. The harbour’s fishing boats are responsible for the fantastic mussels in Olbia’s seafood restaurants, some of which are amid bars and shops on Corso Umberto – the locals’ favourite passeggiata spot.
The Olbia accommodation on Booking.com includes luxury spa hotels, apartments near the beach and cheap B&Bs.

Olbia is a practical town to stay in because you can travel by bus or car to Sardinia’s top attractions. There is a lot of action on the Corso Umberto and surroundings but overall I found only a few good places to eat. The airport is close and easy to reach via public transportation. All in all I would recommend it as a place where you spend the night but you plan your day to day visiting the amazing beaches and hikes.

If you are travelling around northern Sardinia then I would recommend a visit to Alghero rather than Olbia.
There are very few places of interest in Olbia and the traffic network is very hard to negotiate with confusing signage in many parts.

A trip to Olbia felt like visiting the 'real' Italy.
A trip to Olbia felt like visiting the 'real' Italy. Tourists per se are not specially catered for, although there are tours of La Maddalena from Palau, dolphin spotting etc.
But what you do get is a warm welcome from local people.
Lively bars, but not thumping clubs.
- and the food is amazing, with a particular focus on local delicacies as well as fresh fish and seafood.
Easy to get to local beaches (Bados and Pittulongu) which have beach bars. plenty of loungers and parasols to hire for the day. Turquoise waters, sandy beaches.

Nice Centro and waterfront.
Nice Centro and waterfront. Seemed authentic and residential city. Only stayed one evening, but seemed some good restaurants and pleasant to walk around. Although pleasant, was better for transit spot than base and we were glad that we had stayed in another location for additional travel in the area. NOTE: taxis are difficult to come by and did not answer phone on a Monday morning although we were informed they would by a driver. Be sure to schedule ahead if needed.
Everything is fine. What you see is what you get. I read reviews of people saying its outdated but what do you expect when you see the pictures? There’s enough space, more than enough. The neighbourhood is quite and peaceful. We went to visit several beaches on the north coast of sardinia and La Maddalena. There’s a parking spot and the owner, Ivan, is really kind. He’s always available via whatsapp and gives advice through your trip. I enjoyed the bed on the terrace and the stonegrill. Would recommend. We never visited Olbia though.
Thank you Andrea for a lovely stay in Olbia. Myself and my wife spent 5 nights in Olbia, our room was lovely, clean sheets and towels, good wifi and air conditioning. The house is only a few minutes away from city centre, closest beach is at 3 minutes drive, plenty of restaurants around as well.
Andrea offered a lovely breakfast and he was also very kind to give us tips for the best tourist attractions around. Highly recommend! Thank you for everything :)
This hotel has lovely charm and is perfect if you want a nice base to explore the island. the staff were lovely, and the little welcoming touches were great, beach bag and towels, water in the room, room service exceptional. it’s a little out of the town but that’s great if you want a quiet and peaceful place to stay. breakfast has great options and the view from the pool is lovely. free parking big bonus for us.
The villa was immaculately clean, perfect condition. All needed amenities were present. Everything smelled very nice and clean. Absolutely gorgeous garden.
The host was very kind, gave us presents during check-in and even provided a beach-umbrella.
We rate Stazzu Sasimedda 10/10 and will 100% stay here again when coming to Sardinia. Do not hesitate and book it, you will get way more than your money is worth.
The members that work at Hôtel Terranova are really kind and thoughtful. They were all very caring and always smiling which make the staying even more enjoyable. The breakfast was really good, with Italian pastries.
The hotel is located 3-5 minutes walk from Olbia station. it's well located in the center of the city.
Rooms have AC also which is a plus when there's a heatwave.
i would definitely come back 😊
Wonderful host and couldn't do enough to help us when we were totally stuck for a taxi the following morning, driving us up the coast to Portisco. (Watch out for this issue with taxis in Olbia, we'd already had to resort to walking 40 mins late at night from the airport due to no taxis).
Breakfast was basic but totally fine and enjoyed in a very clean and comfortable outside space.
The property was close enough to the airport for a quick lay over, yet walking distance to a nice beach.
Great for a quick stay on your way to your final destination.
Very kind and helpful staff!
Clean rooms. Classic and simple .
Good hot water and pressure in the shower.
Basic breakfast.
Walking distance to a few restaurants.
Good Value.
Great location for small trips around if you have a transport (beaches, Costa Semeralnda, swiming with delphines, Olbia old town, shops is Olbia etc). Well equipt apartment with lovely, big and clean pool. Nice and helpful neighbors, and foremost very nice and helpful owner of the apartment. Great stay, unforgetable experience. Recommend!
Hosts were wonderful, so friendly and helpful, the room was spotlessly clean, the bed was so comfortable, fantastic shower , brilliant tea & coffee facilities, functional and the breakfast was very generous! 5 minute walk to beach, location was perfect! Less than 20 minute drive to the Airport.
Such an awesome amazing apartment with everything equipped, better than a 4 star hotel I ever lived, just comfortable like my home! And the owner is also an extremely nice person, provided us lots of additional help. The accommodation is more delightful than the beach, haha.
Everything! The staff was really helpful. Hotel facilities are more than we expected. They provide a daily shuttle service to the beach with a Porsche Cayenne! The restaurant is really high quality and worth the money, highly recommend at least one night.
Parking in front of the door, all the equipment/materials as you have at home, excelent location to visit the best beaches of Sardinia, and finding a superhost! Thank you very much for providing us such pleasant stay!
It was a really clean and beautiful modern house. Everything you’ll need is there and you walk to the city center of Olbia in just two minutes. Also the beautiful beaches of Costa Smeralda are easy to reach by car.
staff, breakfast at the hotel & watching the sunset from the little trattoria across the road from the hotel - unbelievable, with local Sardinians & their families - got a real sense of community.
We enjoyed our stay in Olbia. This boutique hotel is wonderful. Rooms were very clean and well appointed as was the spa . Breakfast was varied and bountiful....John Paulo was a great host.
Location was spot on : Restaurants minutes away in the town . Staff super nice polite and attentive better than other hotels been in Sardinia. Short stay for the airport very convenient.
Beautiful house with lovely, simple and traditional rooms. I wish I could find a similar place closer to the beaches. Nevertheless, it was a great place to finish our Sardinian tour.
It had everything you need for a relaxing week by the sea.
The beach was so close with sunbeds allocated to the hotel and cafes nearby selling pizza and sandwiches in the day.
