The staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough to help. My mother has dementia and lost her appetite and they made wholesome meals that she could eat that were light.

The park where the Greek ruins are situated is quite isolated, so if you are coming by public transport give yourself plenty of time to get there before dark. There is nothing much around there at night.

Paestum has an AMAZING set of well-preserved ruins, considering they were build some 2,500 years ago! We spent about 3-4 hours there (a little over an hour in the museum, and then a few more hours walking through the ruins. They were amazing to behold. The app downloaded from the museum website (Parco Archeologico di Paestum) was very helpful to learn about the ruins as we walked through them. The kids got rather tired though, so it was good to have a gelato break after leaving the ruins at the nearby cafe.

Some of the finest Greek temples in the world...in Southern Italy! Not to be missed. After time in Venice, we took the train to Bari, rented a card and (in turn) visited one day/night in: Alberobello, Matera, and Paestum. What a wonder trip. It was off-season, which just meant there were no crowds. We had a wonderful time! After Paestum we continued to the Amalfi coast, Pompeii and then to Rome.

Paestum is a fascinating historical site.
Paestum is a fascinating historical site. It has been well preserved and is well worth exploring. The archeological park is well maintained and easy to see in about four hours. The adjacent museum is very new, with an interesting collection of artifacts found in the park. The shops and restaurants lining the roads along the park boundary are fairly typical tourist focused businesses. One exception is the “Museum Cafe”, closest to the museum. It has excellent gelato, and even has babas.

The ruins are spread over a very large area and consist of mainly low stone walls but with three large temples still intact. The museum is a wonderful building of marble faced walls & pillars exhibiting many excellent paintings on the recovered stone slabs from the ruins plus jewellry and pottery. Very fine work and gives such a good idea of the lives of the inhabitants and what they admired.
The entrance fee also covers the ruin complex and is a much reduced price for EU citizens.
The modern town is just that and has various usual amenities.

Of all the sites we saw in Magna Graecia, Paestum was for us the highlight. The amazingly well preserved temples, the vast archaeological display of the city, the still-standing walls, the museum.... these are truly a treasure to be treasured and to be enjoyed by those interested in the history of Magna Graecia.
The pool looked great, but we were denied access because wedding guests that day had top priority. Our stay was ruined because we couldn't swim in the sea, red flag being on. Nobody seemed to care about us, the wedding was more profitable than us. The worst was they didn't have the guts to tell the truth and gave us false excuses. DEPLORABLE PLACE, AVOID AT ANY PRICE. Being a weathered traveller and with Bookin.com for many years, first time I have to write such a bad review.
What you see is what you get. The direct access to the beach is just fantastic (all we really care about 😍)
The hotel was very kind to upgrade our room (as a gift which wasn’t expected) so we got a bigger room, with a balcony 🤩 The room is very modern, big shower/toilet and a space to put your luggage- with hanging rack & drawers for clothes.
We met Francesco who works mostly in the bar. Very kind, approachable and helpful. Understands English very well and is fluent 😊
The location! Our room had a perfect view of the Temple of Athena. The hotel is a short walk from the train station and very flat so it’s easy to pull your bag, too. Exceptional customer service, extremely comfortable beds, excellent restaurant downstairs and great coffee in the morning. They also held our bags for a few hours the day we checked out so we could see the museum. If you’re here for the temples, this is where you want to be. Highly recommend!
Not only were the hosts incredibly hospitality, but the location was perfect for enjoying the beautiful countryside of Solerno! It should absolutely be at the top of your list for a wonderful, relaxing, and cozy home-based while on holiday! Only 10min from town with beautiful beaches, and numerous nearby historical sites and other points of interest. Can't recommend it enough for the just totally welcoming and cozy vibes :)
We loved everything; a quiet and beautiful rural place, close to the archaeological site. The accommodation was very clean and of top quality. Best of all, Davide and his mother were so kind and welcoming. The breakfast, prepared from home grown produce with love and care by Davide's mother was very delicious - a very special experience.
the Luxury feeling, renewed interior with art deco elements. Spa was one of the best ones we have ever stayed before. Nice elegant breakfast. Not to miss the 2 Michelin star restaurant - Tre Olivi!!! As it was off season, we liked that it was not so crowded and during out stay there were no weddings.
Ran by fantastic people, super friendly and jovial. You feel at home as soon as you arrive. And the location is superb; quiet and slightly remote, a stone's throw from a great beach, and only 2km from the Paestum temple site. Ah, and what a breakfast! I didn't have to eat for the rest of the day ;)
Breakfast was very nice. Our room had a huge balcony. The decor and furnishing both indoors in reception area etc and outdoors are fabulous. Beautiful views from the roof top restaurant. Attended a wedding and the food was delicious and staff were so good and attentive at the wedding.
Very good hotel. It is in a lovely spot, near many good places to go. The ruins of Paestum are only a 10 min walk, as our lovely restaurants and the town of Paestum. The staff are friendly, the hotel restaurant was exceptional. Great rooms, and very clean.
Spacious rooms, excellent cleaning services, good accomodations, full breakfast, location could not be better just steps away from beachfront. Pool at hotel nice extra and can see beachfront view. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, especially Rosario.
The Hotel is close to Paesum and has the most modern facilities than other hotels in the area. It has very special and contemporary decor and lots of decorations excellent for selfies. The Breakfast was fantastic and the staff is attentive and efficient.
The swimming pool near the dependence area is great. Also the night entertainment for the kids was really nice and the staff was giving 100% for entertaining the kids. The hotel has everything that you need for resting.
The Staff were excellent, could not do enough for us. The location of the Hotel was only mins from the beach and the Paestum ruins. The Hotel was sparkling clean, we had a wonderful stay at the Poseidonia Mare.
The property is in a lovely farm setting. The rooms are modern and new with a zen like feeling. The hotel is very close to nice restaurants and the beautiful archeological site.
Perfect location, perfect owner, very clean. Nearby is a pizzeria with delicious pizza and affordable prices and of course PESTUM ARCHEOLOGICAL PARK - fantastica.
The proprietor, Luigi, was very helpful and genial. He serves great breakfasts. His property is within a short distance to Paestum Archaeological Park.
