When you look for a place where to stay in the countryside, surrounded by nature but not far away from nice cities such as Modena or Bologna, and you find Castello di Brandola, you think that you ended up at the end of the world. But if one day the end of the world comes, you want to be at Castello di Brandola. Stay at Fabio's place. There is no need to plan any holiday. The borgo, the history, the forest - they will plan the holiday for you. The house has everything you need to just sit down and think about those things you have neglected for so long. The major decision you may have to take is whether to switch on the electrical or the traditional chimney. If you have a question, Fabio will solve it for you in a second. I wish I lived closer to this place to stay more often. If you do, enjoy it and respect this place. If you plan to stay for two nights, better plan for three. If you plan for three, better stay four. And so on. You won't regret. Thanks to Fabio and to the borgo friends. We will be back soon.
Featuring mountain views, la baita nei boschi provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 35 km from Modena Theatre. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking.
The hotel is really in the centre of Pavullo. As I was hiking the "via Vandelli", it is basically located 5 metres away from the end of the second leg.
A part from the hike, it is really close to all highlights of Pavullo.
The place is clean, and the fact that you've got a restaurant just there can be handy, if you don't have the time to look for one.
It is also probably the cheapest accomodation in Pavullo.
I stayed at the Hotel Ferro di Cavallo for six nights in July and I was made to feel very welcome. The staff were so friendly, in particular Cinzia (I hope I have spelt that correctly). My room was spacious and very clean, with a lovely balcony. Breakfast was good, with a wide range of choices - I would especially recommend the amaretti cake :) I look forward to staying again on my next trip to Pavullo.
The hotel is nicely renovated, rooms are very clean and comfortable. The owner is very nice and helpful. Breakfast has a good selection of sweet and savory items, as well as beverages. I tried a homemade almond and chocolate cake that was delicious!
So much was misrepresented from the photos and description, so there wasn't much we could recommend about this rental. The hotels in town are probably more consistent and reliable with their descriptions.
