We love Priania we have been there several times and it never disappoints. It’s a small town but everything you need is there the bus service to Positano and Amalfi is very handy. We were disappointed that the ferries weren’t operating yet so we didn’t get to Capri but all the more reason to come back again.

There's not a lot to do in Praiano itself but it's a great place to stay for day trips to Positano and Amalfi with frequent buses stopping in the village. It was good to be away from the crowds in the evenings and whilst small the choice and standard of restaurants was good

Buses to and from neighbouring Amalfi and positano are cheap but don't necessarily arrive on time !! Tickets must be purchased in advance at little shops. The locals are very friendly and happy to point you in the right direction and if you need help with the steep stairs take the little local
Bus for one euro that runs exactly in time and to listen to the locals is a joy. Such a community feel and a great feel good boost !!

The Sentieri degli Dei was my favorite.
The Sentieri degli Dei was my favorite. We walked from Praiano to Positano and had lunch in Nochelle. The walk up the to the church and the views were wonderful. The little town on the hillside was clean and bright and wonderful for anyone who does not mind walking up and down many steps. I would recommend that future travellers not spend much time in either Positano or Amalfi. Both were crowded and very touristy.

A great value to stay as "home base".
A great value to stay as "home base". We did day trips to Positano and Amalfi each day via water taxi. The bus would have been much more economical but we wanted to see each town from the water and the taxis provided a mini tour of the coast with each trip. We did want to take the city bus to the beach on a Sunday AM, but after waiting about 20 minutes it passed our stop by b/c it was packed full. We decided to do the 30 minute walk to Il Gavitella beach and discovered some nice small shops and the San Gennaro church.
The town itself has great restaurant options including Il Pirata, Franchino and La Moressa.

Praiano is beautiful and definitely has more of a residential/local vibe as compared to the more touristy towns along the Amalfi Coast. We stayed here, as it is conveniently situated between Positano and Amalfi, and you can take the bus from town to town. The accommodation options in Praiano were also slightly cheaper than some of the other towns along the coast. Although Praiano is beautiful and great for a day trip, I would not likely stay here again, as there is not much nightlife and we found ourselves commuting to Positano and Amalfi quite a lot.
The location was amazing. Praiano is the prefect place on the Amalfi Cost to unwind away from the business of Positano. There are gorgeous and quiet beaches close by, with lovely little restaurants. We hired a scooter from a little place close by, and this is definitely the best way to get around. If you prefer the bus, this is literally 30 metres from the front door as well. Flora the host was lovely, and very responsive and helpful with everything we needed!
The hotel was lovely and clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They provided us with beach towels and free water. The food was really good and you could even watch premiership live football, very rare for this part of Italy. We had amazing sea views and even a jacuzzi which was very useful after having walked the Path of the Gods. There was also a free shuttle service to the beach and a cheap local bus service around the town.
La Barbera is an amazing family-run B&B. They have created such a unique and beautiful place in Praiano. The room is beautiful and clean and the view from the balcony (especially at sunset) is truly breathtaking. The breakfast is excellent and freshly made. What stands out among all the others good things we mentioned is all the staffs at La Barbera who are very kind-hearted and genuine. It was the best stay of our trip to Italy.
This is one of the best hotels we have ever visited. From a very friendly and attentive hospitality staff, stunning views, an extremely well-kept property, and a fantastic breakfast, Tramonto D’ Oro has it all. They even provided a breakfast to go since we had an early departure on the last morning. Not sure we’ll ever visit the Amalfi Coast again, but Tramonto would certainly be the main reason why.
an absolutely incredible hotel - the beach club was the highlight (must try the frozen watermelon margarita!) loved swimming in the sea
and the salt water pool. the room was spacious and the view from our balcony was stunning. the complimentary shuttle to Praiano was great and really fun - like a golf cart. Just couldn’t fault a thing about the hotel and wish our stay was a week longer!
We had a large deck with room for 2 loungers and table and chairs
The view was stunning and hotel situated partly in lemon grove
We enjoyed the romantic back ground music played in afternoon and evenings
The room was Italian 60’s era
Praiano is a good place to stay as it is much smaller and less touristy than Amalfi or Positano
There is not a bad view from the hotel. It is in an amazing location with incredible views across the sea and over to Praiano, Capri, and Positano in the distance. The staff were excellent as well. The beach club was beautiful, and the food at both the restaurant upstairs and the beach club was excellent.
Praiano is an amazing location and beautiful views from the hotel and room we stayed in! It was a very close drive to Positano but away from all the crowds. There were so many nice restaurants within walking distance and close to marina di Praia beach. The staff were all lovely and very helpful.
Open Gate is a small, family-run hotel in Praiano. The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful, always ready to be of service. The restaurant on site serves very good food and it's nice not to have to walk to town. The views from the rooms are truly breath-taking! The breakfast was excellent.
This place is unbelievably it was the highlight of our trip. A superb hotel with an incredible view and a rooftop pool. The food was absolutely amazing. The staff were extremely helpful and kind and we love love love Praiano. We will definitely be going back to stay here!!
Perfect hotel for Amalfi coast visit. Special thanks to Tomasso for a wonderful breakfast and the rest of the staff for taking care of all of our transportation needs. Walking distance to the beach and marina where you can catch a water taxi to go to Positano and other towns
The location is right on the beach with access to water taxis, the bus, and bars and restaurants for food. The rooms are recently redone and are really nice and clean. Best of all the family that runs the hotel is so sweet and makes breakfast for you every morning.
Aside from the astounding view of Positano,
the decoration of the lobby had a certain Italian charm with its ceramic figurines, plants and roses. The room was simple yet elegant. The hotel is within easy walking distance from the bus to Positano and Amalfi.
The staff were exceptional, they honestly went to all lengths to make our stay comfortable. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough, we loved every minute of being there. If we travel back to Praiano again, we will only stay at Il Pino.
The location is fantastic, easy access to swimming spots in Praiano. Next door to great restaurant, we did not eat at the hotel except for lunch - the pizza was great. Rent a beach chair and enjoy the water.
One of The best hotels I have ever stayed.
Amazing views to the beach
Private terrace for rooms
Right next to bus station
A great variety of meals for breakfast
Pool and jacuzzi with sea view
Amazing place! The best we stayed in Italy. Absolutely gorgeous view, great comfortable room with attention to all the little details. Would love to come back and stay longer.
There was so much to like about our stay in Hotel Il Pino. Staff were amazing, Hotel was extremely clean, and based on our recent trip, the location in praiano was perfect.
The location was great, right at the start of Praiano and not too far from Positano. It was about a 15 minute cab ride to Positano. The view form the hotel was beautiful.
