The location is exceptional, steps from the beach and the lift up to the old town. Easy walking distance to the station, little Venice and restaurants. Palatial sized room with a balcony view of the castle. Breakfast was very good and hotel staff extremely helpful - only too happy to print off some documentation we needed, arrange a taxi, etc.

The communication was great. They gave us a number for a taxi service from the airport as it was late at night, We were only there for 8 hours as it was a first night base to get some sleep.
