The host Lorenzo was brilliant!
He helped us a lot with recommendations to great places and the breakfast was the best I had excellent experience. Moreover we had a unexpected event that made us cancel one night and the hotel was very understanding of the situation and cancelled the night without penalty although they did not had to do it.
Set in the Chianti hills, this stone guesthouse features an outdoor pool and is located in the rural hamlet of Salvadonica.

Breakfast was excellent - you can order eggs any style and coffee any style, then buffet for the rest. The staff were exceptionally helpful with our travel plans. The rooms were clean and large. The villa is stunning and quiet. The winery and local restaurant simply added to the perfection of the stay. Just wonderful.

Very nice hosts, were waiting for us upon arrival. Water and coffee for our disposal. The apartment was very well-equipped, clean, and nicely decorated. Very well heated, as January is a cold month in the area.

Peaceful, with beautiful Vistas.
Peaceful, with beautiful Vistas. The Staff was outstanding with smiles and open arms for any assistance we needed. Cooking class was fun, learning many new things none of us had known with our delightful chef who was patient and knowledgeable. Dinner at the restaurant was full of wonderful foods. The perfect place to explore wineries and take it down a few notches to relax and unwind.

I would imagine that, like me, most people go there to visit the famous Antinori wine estate, one of the most spectacular & lavish wine estates for visitors in Europe, and one of the few that are comparable with what you would find in California, South Africa or South America. There's not a great deal else here that I am aware of - it's basically a few small villages. Good location for visiting other neighbouring parts of Chianti though. And, as noted in my review elsewhere of the Albergo Bargino, its attached fish restaurant, the Trattoria del Pesce, is worth a visit in itself.

This town in the middle of Tuscany is breath taking.
This town in the middle of Tuscany is breath taking. In the middle of everywhere yet close to Florence making your return to the airport very convenient. The area is surrounded by wineries, restaurants, pizzerias and gelato shops making the panorama painteresque and unique to the area. Perfect starting point for biking too. Must visit.

The location of the town was perfect for us, as we came to have our own wine tour.
We had about a 30-40 minutes drive (tops) to each of our pins on the wine map we planned!
There are vineyards all around :)

The area was lovely, with villas and wineries everywhere.
The area was lovely, with villas and wineries everywhere. Did some of our own cooking, but also ate out.
A bus trip to Florence was worth doing.
Driving to villages/places worked well. Castellina, Radda and Volpaia our favourites.
Driving could be a little difficult on the narrow roads (for two cars to stay on the bitumen)... and buses.
We were given a bottle of wine from our winery stay, and saw the beginning of the grape harvest.

We stayed here 5 nights for a wedding at a venue very closeby (castello il Palagio) and we very much enjoyed our stay. The family hosting was really kind, accommodating and helpful. They gifted us with a bottle of wine at our arrival! The appartment was very comfortable and well equipped, it was nice to be able to make our morning coffee and have breakfast outside every morning. The hot tub room was really beautiful and fun though there’s a fee for using it. If you’re looking for a homey, authentic experience of rural tuscany this is it!
Great hotel, but there was no air conditioner in the room. Given we travel from the usa and are used to ac, this was a bit of a negative since it gets hot. However, they have a fan which helps. Also, the breakfast is light a toast with jam and a croisant, nothing special. Overall is a nice place. Also, keep in mind this is not a winery. When we booked we thought we would stay at a winery and have wine tasting but this is just a bed and breakfast with nice views and a small pool. Good for quite time.
This is such a beautiful old Villa in a very lovely Tuscan village.
We were shown to our huge room by Lorenzo, the son of the family owners, he is also the chef but unfortunately the restaurant was closed the night of our stay. He did recommend some restaurants nearby, the one we chose was great. Lorenzo also prepare the wonderful breakfast we had the following morning, sitting on the terrace, overlooking the most amazing views.
Beautiful location, very good ambience, easy access. The hotel is near the larger town of San Casciano and has a good starting point for trips around the area, especially the Chianti region and Florence. The style of the hotel is rustic and the rooms are furnished in the same way. The staff is friendly and available during the day for additional information. No problems with communication in English.
The stay at the farm was perfect in every way, the location, as it was close to Florence, tasty home-made breakfast, the Tuscan vibe and our hostess Gulia was so welcoming and helpful that it made our time in this unique part of the world unforgettable. I would gladly stay in Il Pintello again.
The location was wonderful, the Villa was amazing. The staff was very knowledgeable about the area and recommended things and restaurants for us, which turned out to be perfect. The breakfast was great too. Also, loved the honor system and drinks offered at the honor bar.
This place feels like a dream, the location is convenient, everything is so clean! It has beautiful modern rooms and a great pool and views. I literally will come back to Tuscany just to stay here. The hotel staff is super helpful with providing everything needed.
The AMAZING hotel. The true feel of the Tuscan Villa. Amazing staff. Elena and yes the CEO Marina, superb friendly and amazing people. Can not wait to return.
IF you stay here drive 5 minutes and have dinner at the LA FATTORIA, you will not regret it.
On arrival we were greeted very warmly and made to feel very welcome, with excellent service throughout our stay. The aspect of the hotel is exceptional with wonderful view over bucolic Tuscan countryside and the restaurant is fabulous.
The location has beautiful views and interesting history, short drive from Florence and to markets/wineries/restaurants, property has great amenities like bikes available for use, staff was helpful in their recommendations.
This property is beautiful! Benedetta is a wonderful host and very kind! There are many amazing restaurants within walking distance. (I highly suggest walking the 10 minutes instead of driving)
Great strategic location, easy access, possibility to be by the pool near the main hotel + good breakfasts at the hotel for 10€ per person, quite expensive. Good linens and fixtures.
