The breakfast was very delicious!
It is possible to have dinner in the garden, the delicacies we bought, because there is a fridge, bar and cutlery.
The room was very comfortable and the view was beautiful. I can only recommend!

We loved staying in this hotel nestled up the hill away from the crowds, takes around 30 mins to walk to Argeno from where there a good ferry and bus service, then around 40 mins walks from Argeno to the hotel as uphill. We enjoyed the walks as good exercise and nice views! However 2 days we hired a car which made things very convenient but there can be very bad traffic!! Staff friendly and super comfy rooms with a balcony.

It's a cute, friendly town.
It's a cute, friendly town. Not overrun with tourists like so many other towns on the lake. Good restaurants, good bars, a great pasticceria, and good cafes. Not one bad moment! (When traveling through the town, do NOT follow Google map suggestions - if the occur - to use "small" roads. Note the different widths of roads on the maps. Only use the wider one. Narrow ones can take you to alleys you may not be able to go through.)

If you have much luggage, I would travel there by car. Otherwise travelling by bus was really easy and inexpensive. We ate at most of the places on the main street through the town. We loved the views, in all honesty they were just spectacular. The best part of driving to the village was admiring the countryside as you got there. That being said, make sure you don't have a very wide vehicle as you drive up from the Lake Lugano side. The roads are very thin and have some sharp hairpin bends. Driving up from Lake Como is much more relaxing, using the main road. Our favourite place to eat was the Taverna Due Castagni. The food was amazing, the prices (average 11€ per course) make it superbe value for money. A great pizza restaurant on the main square. Not much shopping for tourists seeking souvenirs but a genuine local town. Great location for accessing both lake Como and lugano. The hair pin bends are interesting! Would recommend Porlezza on lake lugano and Pirga for the walk to the Belvedere and the funicular down to Argegno which is a beautiful little village. Besides not being in the main Villa (currently in renovation) we had a fantastic experience. The room was big, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was new and spacious. At night when it gets a bit cold, the heater warms the room in less than 15 minutes. I highly recommend this gem. Perfect spot if you have a car and want to visit Lake Como.
