Our stay was wonderful!!! It was the perfect location for us to visit family members in the surrounding villages. Mimma was our host and she was the loveliest lady who made the stay even better. It felt like she was welcoming us to her home. I highly recommend Mimma and her apartment.

Santa Teresa di Riva has long stony beach with beautiful water, it is like swimming in a pool. Lot of bars and restaurants.
It is very close to Etna, Alcantara gorge, and more famous villages like Taormina and Giardini Naxos all reachable on a day-trip.
Not to forget the pictoresque villages where some shots of "Il padrino - the Godfather" where made.

In late june it is still a quiet seaside village... sunset strolls are a local favourite, while later the crowd will move to pizzerias and restaurants. If you don't fancy eating at a restaurant alone, granita makes a perfect lunch option, and then arancini, cipolline, pitoni can save your dinner.

VERY IMPORTANT: the address is completely wrong, it's NOT at 55 Via Lungomare, it's at 55 Via Giovanni Falcone (SS114), Santa Teresa di Riva. If you enter this address you will get a photo of the gate and the 'Restaurant Number One' next door. Book.com address is NOT correct and the owner has no English so he can't help you on the phone. We had a very difficult time finding this place. Very heavy traffic so enter street from the very south end of Via G.Falcone and apt is on the left along the seafront behind a restaurant. There is a double gate to enter. Only street parking in the day which can be difficult but you will find a parking space outside in the evening. Nice beach across the road.
Bit more worn than photo's show but good value at the price. Gas cooktop, exhaust fan with light and an oven (turn it on at switch near the sink). Good range of skillet pans and saucepans, cutlery, utensils- everything to cook a meal. Electric Kettle/jug. Bialetti. CafeItaly pod machine. Good air-con. No microwave, toaster or washing machine.
2L bottle of water provided along with many cakes/biscotti etc to make a breakfast, tea, coffee, condiments.
Bed comfortable with lights and shelves, good bathroom, walk-in shower.
If you are going to Messina from Catania,
If you are going to Reggio on a day trip for the Museum you drive to Messina and take the 'centro' exit off the tollway, this is very close to the port and ferry terminal. The BluFerries ticket office is at Via Luigi Rizzo, Molo Luigi Rizzo, near the rail station. Leave your car in the multi-level carpark, enter from Via Magazzini Generali, E3/6 hours. All close to the direct passenger only ferry to Reggio. Ferry departs hourly, E6p.p. 40min trip. Reggio Archeo Museum and Riace Statues well worth the trouble.

We wanted to reach out and express our sincere appreciation for our recent stay at your incredible room. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the exceptional cleanliness and the warm and friendly demeanor of your host.
It was a pleasure to walk into a spotless room and experience the benefits of the roof view that your room provides. Also, thank you for keeping our luggages after the check out.
Breakfast was amazing and Santa Teresa di Riva and Savoca definitely worth a visit 😀
Warm regards,
Anna & Nina
Salvatore is very nice and helpful, he suggested places to visit, the best advice was the parking place in Taormina, which was very helpful for us. The room was nice, big, clean, comfortable, with beautiful terrace. Breakfast was excellent, we could choose between sweet or savour one, for us the best breakfast in Italy. Good area, walking distance from the beach, not far from Taormina an other momuments. Wifi working perfect, parking on the hotel property.
Salvatore, thanks and all the best in the future!
Breakfast was at bar of the facility. It is a typical Italian breakfast - good coffee or any other drink and some fresh pastries. The location was perfect for us as we did not want to be in a super touristic place. The hotel has also a lido, servicing nice food, drinks etc. Prices were reasonable considering we were there at the peak of the season. Staff was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating, and made us feel at home. We would go back.
Our stay at Villa Carroza was great. The house and the garden are beautiful, very close to the beach, and we could take an extra swim in the pool. Roberto (the host) is very friendly, attentive and helpful. He gave us tips on what to do in Santa Teresa di Riva and Savoca and always replied promptly via Whatsapp. The breakfast, served at the bakery next door, was very nice as well. We recommend it.
The location is perfect if you want to visit Taormina, Savoca or other places around… The beach is only 200m from the accomodation. Salvo is a very kind host, the breakfast was amazing… He recommended us a lot of places to visit or where to eat. The place was very clean. We recommend this place if you want to meet local people rather than no name hotel resorts…
Very kind hotel staff, who went the extra mile for us every single day, with every single request from us. Federica was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We booked the junior suite and absolutely loved it. The village is only touristy as of June, but there are still lots of restaurants around.
Evrything was fine! Nice place big bathroom, equipped hotel, very kind receptionist! Well organized breakfast in a seaside very close nice restaurant! Good fore more night also location is fine! Thanks for place for motorcycles also!
Nice rural hotel, we had a warm welcome. Very atmospheric, met all expectations. We booked just a day before the stay in high season and it's good to explore the area, the nearest beach in Santa Teresa di Riva is not so crowded.
Very atmospheric and historic villa, especially when you like a non standard hotel. Beautiful garden, a nice pool, chickens and a few turtles, which our kids loved, wonderful breakfast and excellent host! Will recommend!
