Great location in walking distance of the train station. It means you can reach Venice by train in about 1h45, same if not less with Verona, Padova, etc. Trento and Bologna are a couple of hours away by car. If you go trekking you'll probably need a car, but this is a great location too. The breakfast is really good, with a nice selection of local products. Pricewise it makes sense if you plan to do a big breakfast and plan just a small lunch, else probably a bakery or bar in the neighbourhood is way cheaper.

Schio is a beautiful town in Italy.
Schio is a beautiful town in Italy. I have been there three times, but I willcertainly come again. My favourite place was Gelateria Il Piacere with extraordinary icecream flavours. Libreria Ubik was another place where I came by very often, at least once a day. I always went out with a bag of very interesting things, games for my son, souvenirs, books, and various present. I really would like to have one near the plece where I live in. I was also very suprised when I tried specialities in Istanbul City Kebap. Mamma mia :) The kebap I tried left me speachless. In the morning I liked to enjoy drinking famous italian capuccino and eating tramezzino (there are at least 10 different kind of this fantastic sandwich) at the caffe of the Miramonti hotel. Every Saturday there is an open market with various things you can buy (cheese, meat, fruit, vegetable, clothes, bags etc). If you want to go shopping I raccomend Conad. There are several supermarkets nearby (It's interesting you won't find them in the centre). My favourite transportation was train. Excellent fast trains will make you want to travel again and again. The people from Schio are very kind and they will always help you. I could also write about monuments and building but I would really like you visit this small beautiful place and write about it, just like I did :) Grazie Schio, non vedo l'ora di tornare.

Located in Veneto, Italy, this small city has a lot to offer. This is an idea place to visit. So many historic and archaeological sights will impress you. The World of Miniature Trains, Geomineralogical museum, Butterflies Museum "Nel Regno delle Farfalle Onlus", Fogazzaro Palace Civic Museum appart from Castello, Villa Pizzolato-Panciera, will tell you an incredible story. People are more than happy to see and talk to you. On Saturday you will be a part of the Schio's market where you will be able to buy at excellent prices. If you decide to visit this city you will definitely come back again,

Schio is an old town, but mainly developed in the 19th century by a woolen mill owner, Rossi. The large mill buildings, which you can visit, and housing built for the workers are all still there. It was an enjoyable town to explore, with some nice shops and terraces. There is a restaurant that boasts that Ernest Hemingway stayed there (very briefly). As a matter of fact, they served excellent food, but turned out to be more expensive than we had expected :), Starters are huge though, and would have been enough. It is not far from Monte Pasubio, where the excellent 52 galleries walking challenge awaits.

From the moment I made a reservation, the owner contacted me and offered to help me if I needed some information. He was more than helpful with the advice regarding the transportation and supermarkets. The apartment is absolutely fabulous. Modern equipment, excellent cleanness, perfect location and great owner made my staying in Schio perfect. I can't wait to come back and strongly recommend this apartment. The location is astounding, deep within the small Dolomites, clean room, superb food, and a breakfast with homemade breads and conserves. The location is a little out the way from public transport, so you may need the use of a car. Schio is only 15-20 minutes down the road and you can park the car free at the back of the train station. From there Vicenza is half hour away, Verona is 45 minutes and Venezia a full hour by train.

A real surprise of an agriturismo/hotel/resort with a beautiful restaurant and pool bar. I needed something near Vicenza but didn't want to stay in Vicenza so this worked perfectly. It is near the mountains and the town of Schio but feels like an oasis of pools and green rolling hills.

The hotel was very clean, the room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the view from the window was beautiful. The hotel offers very taste breakfast and you can order dinner in the evening. Pleasant music plays in the restaurant, and the administrator is very kind.

Riccardo was welcoming and very friendly. He showed us where everything was and even supplied items like milk, water, washing detergent etc. Beautiful house and the location was so close to the centre of Schio. Would 1000% say again

I had to find a hotel at this specific location due to my fellow traveler. I was alone so this two bed room unit was too large for me. For a larger group or family, it looks quire reasonable with enough living spaces.

The view from the mountain is wicked. The hotel is very cozy and the hosts are very friendly. The nature in this area is beautiful. And you can watch beautiful sunrises from the balcony.
