Lovely Hotel in a remote area.
Friendly and very helpful personnel!
They knew their guests quite well and tried their best to overcome the language barriers! I don‘t speak any Italian so that was extremly convenient for me. Grazie 1000!

The hotel is very close to the center and to the main stores. The staff was very polite, especially the lady who attends at breakfast. The room was clean and very warm. I liked the breakfast too, the coffee was very good. I appreciate that there is a TV, a small fridge and a hairdryer available. I consider the experience a positive one but I’m not sure I would still opt for this hotel on my next trip to Tempio.

It was clean, good location, not too many rooms so it felt cozy. Good value for money. It was quiet.

We hit the jackpot with Al Vecchio Corso for our low season break. After exploring north Sardinia in March we decided that Tempio Pausania was the only town that met our requirements for somewhere traditional and picturesque while the Al Vecchio Corso was also in a class of its own in terms of atmosphere and hospitality. The owner was extremely friendly and was a delight to chat to during our delicious dinner on the premises.

Salvina is an exceptionally hospitable host. The apartment is notably spacious, offering superb heating and reliable wifi connectivity. Its location is conveniently situated just 6 minutes from the city centre. I highly recommend it for a comfortable and accessible stay.

Renowned for its authentic cuisine, this restaurant offers a menu that pays homage to classic culinary traditions while using fresh, high-quality ingredients. Tempio sits on a hilltop overlooking the granite peaks...
Tempio sits on a hilltop overlooking the granite peaks behind Aggius in the west and Monte Limbara to the SE; it is a mix of old and new, the core characterised by a warren of small narrow streets hemmed in by granite-built old-style houses, many with balconies. The lanes are studded with bars and small restaurants and offer some coolness to escape the summer sun. The cobbles would be a challenge to high heels, but the core is quite small and walkable easily.
Local food is really good, from pizza (Il Trenino), to light lunches (Living) and the more traditional Sardinian dishes (Trattoria La Gallurese - order the snails/lumache); bars are cheap and service is mostly great (Living, New Chopin, Caffe' de Piazza), although one or two places are glacially slow (Bar de Museum - but fantastic pasta!).
It seems a very happy town and the locals that somehow understood my broken Italian were welcoming and many spoke some English to help me out.
There are numerous small and large parks affording shade and tranquility and to outer this, there is a bar - Risen - that caters for the young and plays plenty of party music, which was fun, but I didn't last until the advertised 4am closure...
We had originally booked into the Pausania Inn, but left after a night and booked into the New Petit Hotel: a friendly place with smallish rooms but with great views over Aggius and just on the edge of the old town, so perfectly located for accessing the town without a 1.75km walk from the other hotel.

Tempio has an attractive old town.
Tempio has an attractive old town. There was a music festival the night we were there, so it was hard to find a table in a restaurant and very loud.
We particularly liked the agriturismo style restaurant next to the Nuraghi Maiori, about 2km North of town. The pipistrelle bats in the Nuraghe had just had babies.
Tempio stays cooler than the rest of Sardinia so it’s good place to go in a heat wave.

A fascinating historic town away from the more popular beaches and resorts.
With quaint streets and shops it has the feel of a place yet to be spoilt by tourists.
Pedestrianised areas allow you to focus on the history as you walk the streets and sample the many little bars and restaurants.
Probably not a place to stay if you are looking for night clubs and discos, but more of a traditional Sardinian town.

Beautiful, charming city, packed with old buildings.
Beautiful, charming city, packed with old buildings. It is large enough that there is a decent selection of restaurants and cafés.
The area is quite green compared to other areas of Sardinia - drive west towards Castelsardo to get a glimpse of the cork tree woods, with the bark peeled off the lower part.
PS: We drove through Aggius, near Tempio, and it looked so beautiful. Wish we had time for a proper visit.

The B&B is in a peaceful location with a splendid open view of the town of Tempio Pausania. My host and her friend Cecilia were delightfully welcoming and friendly. They also understood some English, which was a great help. I found my double room for two nights very comfortable, pleasantly appointed, and spotlessly clean,. My "sweet" Italian breakfast, whilst modest by British standards, was quite nice, with some welcome ingredients such as orange juice, fresh toasted bread, cakes and (on my second day) crepes.

The location is very good for exploring northern Sardinia.
Pool is nice with a wonderful relaxed pool area and atmosphere in the middle of the mountains, they even have hammocks between the trees.
Super quiet area, very relaxing.
Staff was always friendly and helpful.
A beautiful, comfortable and clean house with a special atmosphere. A snooker table is available in the main room. Unfortunately, no wi-fi, but that did not impact a great time in the house. Also, a good location near the Tempio Pausania city centre.

The best place if you look for tranquility. Service is exceptional. Very friendly staff and great cuisine thanks to chef Luca and Constantine. I will definitely come back on my next trip to Sardinia. ❤️
The hotel is placed in the middle of the woods, at the top of the hill. It is peaceful and quiet place where you can charge your batteries. Food is good and staff is friendly and caring.
Good location close by the center of Tempio Pausania.
The host was very kind and helpful.
The breakfast was stunning, so much food, lot of homemade pies, lovely.
