Unfortunately, I cannot give a higher rating for that hotel, because the hygiene is very bad. The staff was friendly and they changed our room at our request because the first room was very smelly and dirty. The second room, where we ended up sleeping, didn't smell bad, but it wasn't very clean either.

If it weren't for the horror show of the Green Park 'Resort', I may have given Tirrenia a good review. I would wish that there was some kind of committee to vote and close down this communist-style 'resort' who could care less about clients.

Typical resort - hotel beaches, lots of restaurants.
Typical resort - hotel beaches, lots of restaurants.
Ideal location for trips to Pisa, Lucca, Florence and other beautiful places of Tuscany. But if you prefer relaxing on the beach, there are far more beautiful places - go to Cinque Terre, or avoid Italy altogether (better sea is usually on the greek islands or in Croatia)
If you want to cook your own meals and are visiting outside the summer months (september mainly), then you are advised to shop for fresh ingredients (fish, seafood) in Livorno market as the one in Tirrenia is closed due to some riddiculous reasons and there are only small "super"markets with frozen food...
It is however ideal for families with small childern - the sea is very warm and shallow

I would recommend holidaying in Tirrenia with kids between 0 and 10 y/o, and then probably between 14 and 16 – so they may enjoy the seaside on their own/unsupervised - go to the water park, meet some friends, go to some good rides in the Luna Park. We also enjoyed day trips to Pisa, Florence, Lucca and Livorno - which was great to get away from the monotony of a beachfront holiday and weave some educational aspect into the holiday fabric.

Tirrenia is a small town with plenty of local restaurants to visit and a few shops. It looked as if there had been many more shops and pubs there in the past, which were closed or shut down when we visited. There is a small waterpark, and lots of beach side restaurants and hotels accessible via long driveways / access paths. It was clean with very friendly people. The local supernarket we found was about 7 mins walk from the main centre, and was very reasonably priced. The beach is beuatiful, miles long and spotlessly clean.

Excellent clean beaches and convenient tourist...
Excellent clean beaches and convenient tourist infrastructure, many restaurants and shops with everything you need. There are many parks and greenery in general. As far as you can tell, it is a fairly safe and calm town with a focus on beach vacations.
Local shops are quite small, and the main supermarkets are located in nearby towns. Livorno or Pisa can be easily reached by bus, which stops all along the main street of Tirrenia. By car 10 minutes to Livorno, 30 minutes to Pisa, 40 minutes to Lucca.
This hotel was a lucky find for our family, it exceeded our expectations, mostly because the staff and especially Alessandro at the reception was really nice and helpful, the price was really good for what we got, the room was very nice, big, clean and comfortable, the parking is free. It is located right in front of a sandy beach and a nice park with playground so our kids spent the whole day playing, and there are cafes and restaurants all around. We will definitely come back to this place.
Hotel Staff was available and helpful at all times. The rooms layout was good and all necessities for a holiday at the beach where available. A bus stop is right in front of the hotel. Tickets can be bought at the small shop in the city center. The nearest free beach we could find was at Bagno degli Americani about 1km from the hotel. The hotel offers a deal where you can get a place at bagno Paradiso starting from 4,50€ per day, 310m from the hotel.
Lovely, family run hotel just slightly out of town centre. Pleasant 10 min walk in through the back roads. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. The pool was exceptional. Very private and quiet. Excellent tennis courts. (Professional standard). Bikes to borrow. On a final note the family staff were amazing. Very friendly and very helpful. Would certainly use this hotel again and recommend it.
Quiet hotel with lots of garden, like a campus, walking distance from the beach, room with lots of light, friendly staff. The hotel has an agreement with one of the beach "clubs" opposite where you can get a voucher for an umbrella and 2 sunbeds. Next to ammenities if some stuff needed.
Good price and location. The hotel is a little older and has definitely seen better days but for the price it provides good value. I stopped here before taking the ferry the next day. Parking was free and easily available. It was walking distance from the beach and includes a pool.
Location (!!!) and staff are perfect! Everyone very helpful, even some of them insisted of speaking only Italian (rather as joke :)
Clean rooms, restaurants and grocery store are really close. Bus stop to airport also is just 50 m from the hotel.
For a 2 Star Hotel it is very good, the staff was super friendly. We did not eat breakfast because we left early for the ferryboat. The hotel has a really nice, small garden in front, a few park places in the back and is pet friendly.
We had a overnight for our trip to Tuscany. The hotel was easy to find. The Personal was very kind and helpful. We had dinner at the place and it was very good. The breakfast was very nice and a perfect start for our vacation
The hotel is just in front of the pretty much the best La Siesta beach and it has an agreement with for their guests, so it's convenient.
The hotel pool is nice, also it's good they have a fine restaurant in the property.
Beautiful small beachside town. NOT convenient to Pisa Airport, which is what I was looking for, but that’s on your search engine not the hotel. Older, well-kept property, spotlessly clean.
For a 5 Star hotel found the room really spartan and small. No complimentary water after we ordered some in our coats they delivered the wrong one and still put it on our cost.
This property location combined with private carpark has put it on top of the list for next time we holiday in Tirrenia. Pictures don’t do justice. Better than expected.
