We arrived out of the main tourist season, the town was quiet, however food & drink was plentiful. We visited the Castle & Cathedral late on in the day, but we enjoyed the experience, especially the climb up the Bell Tower, 258 steps, however worthwhile, the views were outstanding.
Great pizza at Art'e L'Arcimboldo Pizza Cafe!!

Diverting to Puglia was a last-minute decision for us, and we were not disappointed. Trani is a small but bustling city with good train access, a few sites of historical interest, and a fabulous harbor to the Adriatic Sea. Because it was not high season, when the tour busses left their day-stops, we felt like two of only a few tourists left in town.
Trani is the place to go if you are a seafood lover. At dusk, the fishing boats pull into the harbor, back up to the dock, and offer up their daily catch. Locals browse from boat to boat, loading up on whatever looks best, and restaurant patrons feast on the freshest of fresh fish and shellfish that evening. We had an incredible meal at Osteria ai Platani (highly recommend).
Had we planned this stop, we'd have stayed at least one more night for the food, wine, and ambiance alone.

We didn't really explore Trani except to walk to the port for a drink after we had arrived. We had a lot of trouble finding the hotel when we first arrived as the name on our booking was different to the name on the hotel, which caused some confusion and delays in checking in. The port area was pleasant to visit but the hotel was situated near the train station and we had to walk through small, narrow roads to reach the port.

We travelled around a few places in Puglia and Trani was surprisingly our favourite town to visit. It was peaceful, no tourists about and felt so authentically Italian whilst also having a great vibe in the evening and plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy the beautiful views.

Nice town with a busy port area.
Nice town with a busy port area. Not THAT much to see or do in the actual town, but very well connected by train to go further a field.
Lots of great restaurants from cafes to Michelin star. Most nearly all super quality fish based. Barring a steak and the occasional burger, you'll struggle to get meat, if fish is not your thing.
Beaches are a bit out of town and mainly on rocks or stones. 'Beach clubs are quite expensive, given the quality and lack of swim facilities (€35 - €50 per day for two)
Not that much English spoken: An observation rather than a criticism (A pet hate of mine, when people complain about that. Learn the language or at least be able to pass yourself).
Perfect location with such clean and comfortable accommodation. The marina is just beautiful and so lovely to walk around. There is double glazing on the windows and doors so you don't hear anything from outside. Water pressure is incredible (something we have noticed whilst travelling around Italy).
Georgia and Francesca are so great!
The road is not accessible for cars after 18h00, so keep this in mind if you are checking in late with luggage.
Should we ever come bk to Trani, we will definitely be staying here. Fab spot!
I chose the hotel because of its location and the location was exactly what I expected. Very central location on a quiet street. We visited the city during the hottest period of the year (40 degrees) and the air-conditioning kept the room cool all the time. The bed was very comfortable. The host, Nicola, was very friendly and ready to help with any problem or request, including about breakfast options. It was exactly what we wanted. I highly recommend it if you are planning to stay in Trani.
A beautiful, architecturally outstanding, small hotel with attention to detail for guests and appearance. The staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful accommodating every need, with good recommendations to restaurants and sites. The restaurant was the best we experienced in Trani with novel yet delicious dishes.
The spa was a fantastic surprise. Trani is a small town with easy access to multiple places to visit a short drive away.
Spacious and VERY clean room, great fragrance.
Facility is in the historical center, just 150m from the Trani port.
Free parking in the street.
Antonio and Marina were very friendly and provided a map of town with recommended sites and restaurants nearby (Bistrot 27 was great!).
Antonio assisted with luggage lift as it is required to go up 20 stairs to the rooms.
Very good breakfast, excellent fresh fokachas.
This B&B was by far the best I've been to in Italy. The room is spacious and tastefully furnished, with particular attention to details. The host is super classy and helpful. The breakfast was delivered in the morning and was more than great. It felt like staying in a 4 star hotel, paying little! I'd definitely go back next time I'm in Trani.
The property is found within the small alleyways of the Centro Storico, while close to the castle, cathedral, waterfront, and indeed the station and business center for a nice walk. It is ultramodern inside with beautiful furniture and tapestry decorations. The breakfast was adequate for a BB, and the staff was helpful and welcoming.
The location in the middle of the old port is beautiful and allows you to be walking distance from the canter and the nice
restaurants. The hotel is using a historical building that used to be a monastery and the breakfast is served in the old . church - the experience is very romantic and perfect to feel the character of Trani
Francesca was a very helpful host who communicated well, met us at the property and arranged parking. She provided a good range of snacks and there was a coffee machine. Very comfortable bed. Excellent location in the centre of Trani for visiting the attractions and restaurants etc.
A good-sized, attractive and comfortable room very close to historic centre of Trani. The host was very attentive and helpful. A lovely fresh breakfast was delivered each morning from a nearby pasticceria. Free parking in surrounding streets.
Good location ad although a little way out of Trani there was an easy access path along the sea. Room was in fact a small apartment, very comfortable and everything we needed. Delightful hosts. Large pool which was great.
Firstly the manager Nadia was so kind, friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were very clean , comfortable and modern and really lovely. The location was perfect for seeing the sights of beautiful Trani
Convenience to shops parking and access to highway. Breakfast was great at the Cafe. Good communication with host. Walk into and around Trani was a very pleasant surprise. Would reccommend!
This was a lovely room overlooking the marina in Trani. It is not a hotel - but a few rooms owned and rented out by a sweet lady named Sylvia. It was exactly as appeared din the pictures.
Very nice B & B, a little difficult being able to park our car close enough to unload luggage before going to parking garage. We loved Trani, especially down by the port. What fun
Location was excellent. A few minutes walking to restaurants. Free private parking on site which is always a luxury. Easy to find with many signs directing us to the hotel
