The view of the lake was absolutely amazing and the sunrise could be witnessed everyday from our bed! Bus stop outside was very convenient and it was a short walk to the ferry, Villa Carlotta and good cafes/restaurants. It was handy to have a restaurant on site for our late arrival too. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Accommodation was clean.

Our room was available early to check-in. The pool was beautiful and refreshing on some hot days. Having access to a washing machine was great. The apartment itself was spacious and the terrace out front was nice. Good that there was a bar and food available on site as it was a way out of Tremezzo.

Tremezzo was a great location to use as a base to enjoy the more famous towns nearby. Staying here meant that we were out of the hustle and bustle when we came back to the hotel. It was possible to find free parking near the ferry stop. In this area, when the parking spot lines are white--the parking is free. When they are blue--one must pay and often has a time limit.

Tremezzo is a perfect gateway for a city escape.
Tremezzo is a perfect gateway for a city escape. We drove around the entire lake and realized that Tremezzo’s view is indeed the most impeccable while the convenience is still there. Compare to other small towns alongside lake Como, Tremezzo is in connection with nearby towns that has more than enough stores for shopping, groceries, laundromat, banks, eatery, and views (Tremezzo too has sufficient stores that support a longer holidays). If you are on foot, this is perfect.
If you are on foot, this is perfect. If you are looking for a base to explore the area by car this is a disaster as there is no parking but then again I dont think there is anything in Lake Como that is not 10x more expensive that comes with free parking. You are better off going to Lake Garda or Maggiore

Stunning landscape.
Stunning landscape. Absolutely beautiful, but I hated driving around Tremezzo and Lake Como, I would stick to the speed limits and locals would overtake on blind bends. Very stressful. Some excellent food, expensive but worth it, but a lot more occasions poor food overpriced. And my life! there were some very unkempt toilets even in expensive restaurants. Shocking.

Tremezzo is the perfect place to stay on Lake Como for those who want easy access (via ferry) to the most popular destinations, but want to be away from the crowds. The Lake Como Greenway path runs right through town and provides walking access to nearby towns along the west side of the lake including Lenno, where the wedding scene from the Star Wars prequel was filmed. There are several great restaurants in the area, ranging from fairly casual to fine dining.AlanUnited States

It is beautifully furnished and uses quality linen. Our hosts Alessandro and Lina are just the nicest people and nothing was too much trouble for them to help you out with either restaurant recommendations and bookings, information about the town and lake Como to picking us up in Como and taking us to the villa. Breakfast every morning was homemade delicacies from Lina and her sister and we wished we could if stayed longer!!

I strongly recommend Tremezzo and Villa Marie as a place to stay: (i) Unlike a lot of other places around the coast this has a pavement on the road (so you can walk or run about without fear of being run over) (ii) the ferry stop is about 5 mins walk away and is very convenient for getting to all the main tourist spots (iii) there's other things to see and do around - Villa Carlotta is just up the road.

The views from the living area were just as beautiful as the views from the hotel rooms. the AC’s are actual split units- not portable- and worked great! The stairs are a lot for someone with mobility issues; however, they are broken up between levels. The pool is 2 flights up higher but worth it for the privacy and views (if they would just trim the plants to see even more)😌. We would rent this again!

Because there were high temperatures this August. Very good location to take the ferry to Belaggio or Varenna. Perfect place for a family or 2 couples. Also, the very best is the attention of Matteo, the owner, really friendly and helpful and ready to explain to us how to make the most of the Lake. Totally recommended place. The location is a 15-20 minute walk to the Tremezzo ferry and is close to several restaurants, a nice bakery and small supermarket.
