Definitely the best stay we had in this part of Italy. Upon arrival we were greeted by the host that made us feel like we were at home. The breakfast was amazing (freshly baked croissants especially). Truly lovely stay in the middle of wineyards.
Casa Lucia is situated in picturesque Chianti countryside less than 10 kilometres from Siena. Experience living in a typical Tuscan hamlet, made up of separate stone buildings.

Spacious room and bathroom. The bathroom was renovated, but not the room. Both clean. The breakfast was fine with many different choices.
Located in Gaiole in Chianti, the ‘most idyllic place to live’ according to Forbes magazine, Ultimo Mulino lives up to this reputation.

My wife and I spent 4 wonderful days at Ultimo Mulino. The country hotel is nestled in a beautiful forested valley in the Chianti region. The charm of the hotel was undeniable and the comfort and cleanliness was well above average. We particularly loved the pool, sauna and jacuzzi, which were excellent for relaxing after a busy day of exploring the area and driving through zigzagging roads. The restaurant on the premises was very convenient and served great Tuscan food. We would have stayed longer if we had more time. We will definitely be back should we visit the area again.
Set in the picturesque town of Radda in Chianti, Palazzo San Niccolò is an elegant hotel offering free Wi-Fi, a large garden and interesting interiors with original frescoes and antique furniture.

The villa was lovely, set in beautiful manicured gardens. The distance from the main centre of Sienna was a bonus, as the location was tranquil. Catching a bus into the centre was a breeze with the bus stop just outside the gates. The staff were amazing. Always helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious, with coffees and scrambled eggs made to order. Our evening meal in the restaurant was superb.
Vagliagli is centrally located but really in the middle of...
Vagliagli is centrally located but really in the middle of nowhere! If you like flat, dusty gravel roads and have a 4x4 it is no problem but most of the access roads to nearby villages are not the most comfortable to tour around by car. To get to anywhere from Vagliagli you need to rejoin the motorway (south to Sienna and north to Firenze) - as we found out from the lady at the tourist office in Radda! The village is not geared up for tourists and is mainly residential with no facilities to speak of other than a couple of remote restaurants and a village convenience store with a limited stock. L'Osteria Cacio e Pepe was our best find for dinner on our last evening but again it is in the middle of nowhere. I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to visit Vagliagli again. Staying closer to Sienna or Firenze - and in an apartment rather than an agriturismo - would be my choice for future visits. Great for a day of local wine and olive oil tasting at the many agriturismo places.
We looked for this hotel to visit Tuscan wine regions. And we wanted to have this experience... We were able to rest and we were able to visit the vineyards and learn more about the wines.
In the restaurant we were well attended by the staff. Very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, I keep in my memory the rabbit I ate and the excellent breakfasts.
Outside we had everything to be happy, swimming pool, tennis fields, space to read a good book, terrace to drink a few glasses of wine and walk around the farm
The location is very nice, shuge garden, nice terrace, breathtaking view over the hills. Sandro was a perfect host, very helpful and kind. A wine tasting session with lots of info about the Chianti Clasic wines was also included.
There are lots of picturesque roads around. It takes about 20mins to Siena, 1h to Montepulciano or Pienza but don't count on these times as it most likely will take you waay longer as you'll stop for the views every few minutes :) Just don't take the main roads!
Can't say enough good things about Le Macie and you would be missing out if you decided not to stay here. The location is perfectly situated in the countryside and the pool overlooking the valley looks even better than on the pictures. More importantly, the host family was amazing and accommodating in every way. We learned so much on the tour around the vineyard, especially since it is so unique.
The location is probably the best we can find in Tuscany valleys, at the top of a hill, offering a 360 view on the vineyards, olive trees and… Siena.
The pool is just there, incredible so you can admire the landscape from the water.
The apartment #1 has a wonderful view and a common terrace to have meals.
Owners are lovely, honest and doing their best for you.
We’ll come back!
this property is outstanding the rooms are amazing, super clean, the pool is gorgeous , the hotel grounds are a dream place to be , the winery, the garden, the activities … the food … delicious restaurant and the breakfast is one of the best I’ve had… this hotel is beyond gorgeous … and the value for money is amazing … on my opinion it is one of the best hotels in Tuscany
Beautiful agriturismo in the heart of the Chianti region! We had a really nice room with great views!
The breakfast was very good and offered a nice selection of food. We enjoyed the salt-water pool a lot! The agriturismo is very well situated to reach Siena and some of the numerous wineries by car.
We would definitely reccommed a stay here!
Staying in this agriturismo you will feel like you are at home with an Italian family). Breakfast is included and you will get coffee, tea, yoghurt and very very tasty Italian croissants. For some price you can dinner as well.
From this agriturismo you can reach Siena and its sights very quickly.
We enjoyed all aspects of the Resort.
In particular the location close to Siena is excellent, the layout of the property, outlook from the rooms and the pool deck, the quality of the food and drink, size of the rooms and quietness of the estate are all notable.
Everything was perfect! nice house, nice environment, nice view with terrasse, the house owner is living in the building of reception, had good chat, good memory in Toscana, very good location, just 20 minutes' drive to Siena, close to everywhere you want to go.
The stay at Oliviera is amazing! The house is super cozy and the vine tasting was delicious! Not to forget the views from the balcony- stunning! Sylvia and Sandro were super responsive and eager to help with all difficulties! All in all stay was amazing!
Excellent terrace for wine and snacks. Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Great quiet location to relax and recharge. Staff was friendly and helpful. Close to several restaurants and a short drive to Siena.
The setting is magnificent, on top of a hill, surrounded by olive groves and wineyards, with Siena in the distance. The borgo has been refurbished for hospitality with great taste, the food is exquisite.
The hotel is beautifully decorated with magnificent gardens and landscape. The aroma of lavender and jasmine is heavenly! The bar tender at the pool was very friendly and polite.
Quaint location of the Fattoria, close to Siena yet secluded in the country side.
Cosy / family atmosphere (including the extra cuddly pets!)
Great breakfast and room facilities.
Beautiful hotel! Elegant and spotlessly clean. Food and drink were delicious, and the service from the staff was excellent. We had a lovely stay and would happily visit again
