We have stayed here before. The staff are very friendly and efficient. We like the fact that the hotel is quite near the station but also near restaurants. The breakfast room is light and airy and there is a good range of food available. Also the wifi is very good. It is excellent value for money.
With a terrace, Villa Eva Hotel is located in Ventimiglia, a few steps from the sea. Free WiFi access is available throughout.

The shared living room with tea, coffee and TV was a lovely touch
The host was very helpful and friendly
The road was a windy mountain road and seemed daunting but actually was not too bad at all - totally worth it

We liked that Ventimiglia is very close to popular places such as Monaco, Menton, SanRemo. Day trips very easy to do. Some areas of Ventimiglia were dodgy but overall people very friendly, prices reasonable and beaches not overcrowded

Ventimiglia is a little gem of a place. Overshadowed by Nice, Monaco and Menton, but take that extra few kilometres into Italy and you will be well rewarded.
Great food, super beaches and everything is a short walk away.

We stayed in Latte, a taxi ride out of Ventimiglia in an agrotourism hotel. It was nice to be in this quiet spot and although it was a steep climb up to the property the views were glorious.
We had the breakfast provided and otherwise bought food from the very good supermarket in Latte.
The only thing that would have been useful would be to understand a bit more about the public transport options. There were buses but it seemed we would have had to catch 2 and not knowing the area didn't want to chance not making connections so we got a station taxi.
Our main reason for coming was to see the Hanbury gardens, and they were stunning but not for the feint-hearted with lots of steep climbing.

Ventimiglia is a very earthy working class town so not the place to show off, strut your stuff. Ventimiglia keeps it real!
Definitely be there for Friday market on seafront, thousands come from miles around including Nice etc to snap up bargains eg linen dresses, tops etc at much lower prices than posh shops in nearby towns! Trains packed in both directions all day as result.
Eateries just downhill from station, turn left to Bookcaffe etc tried 3 here all excellent!

It appears to be one of those unknown quite and a very beautiful tourist spot. It’s a nice village right at the French border. The train ride to Ventimiglia from Milan Central station is just about 4 hours. I traveled from Ventimiglia to Nice. It’s about an hour’s train ride. On a beautiful sunny day, you get to see some of nature’s most amazing sights during the train ride - make sure you seat on left side when the train travels from Ventimiglia to Nice - this is where you see the beaches, sand, cliffs, expensive yachts. Small towns of Menton and Ventimiglia are surrounded by major cities such as Genoa, Monaco and Nice. These small towns are perfect getaways for a short trip away from the bustling cities.
Best part - Ventimiglia is not expensive. certainly not as much as any of these cities. And is a very comfortable drivable distance from all of these cities. You can stay here and have nice short day trips to surrounding cities.

The old part of Ventimiglia was incredible and definitely worth exploring. Virtually no tourists but the same narrow streets and alleyways as wealthier Menton and Monaco City. I was sorry that the footbridge no longer existed as I wanted to explore the route to the beach. The train to Cuneo was worth the journey if you’re planning to go to Turin. Arrive early to secure a seat next to a window. Breil sur Roya, Fontan Saorge and Vernante all looked like interesting places to spend some exploring.
Cristina and Enrico were lovely hosts and helped us with local transport in the Ferragosto season when taxis were hard to get. The apartment is lovely, space enough for 3 and a magnificent view over the sea. The private lift down to the secluded beach was the icing on top.
Bakery and Grocery store are a few minutes walk away and the green market in the new part of Ventimiglia can be reached via a public lift from the upper part of town.
Very nice location overlooking the new marina, on the sea-front, in a very quiet location

After 4 nights on a campsite in Tuscany, this is the Italy we wanted to experience. The bed and breakfast is stunning inside, and very comfortable. Ample parking is further up the hill. Breakfast was an absolute delight. The best coffee I have tasted in Italy, with fresh fruit, croissants, prosciutto, cheese, yoghurt, and fresh blood orange juice set on a rooftop terrace what is not to like?
The hotel is close to the station - great when on foot with luggage. Friendly reception. The room was fine Small balcony looking over backs of neighbouring flats - not scenic but interesting and absolutely fine. A good breakfast. Wandered along the beach a bit. Its very close and handy. It was quite quiet that day, towards late afternoon, but then it wasn't the hottest of days.
Where do I start? The apartment is fabulous, 5 star conditions, spotless clean, beds very comfortable, very modern, one of the best accomodation. You can see the sea from the window, 2 minutes walk to the beach.
Giancarlo, the owner, responds to messages and the phone immediatly, he waited for us in order to hand the keys, his english is perfect.
We absolutely loved it !!!
The B&B is located in the old town of Ventimiglia. It takes 10-15 min to walk from train station to the apartment. The hostess gave us very detailed directions. She is very friendly and personable. The room is beautiful and quiet. Breakfast is very nice with lot of varieties. We had some really good meals in the restaurants nearby recommended by the hostess.
The Calypso is a small family run hotel in the center of town but on a very quiet side street. Staff is friendly and welcoming. The room and bathroom were spotless and well heated on this cold evening. Breakfast offers a selection of cold cuts and pastries. It is my hotel to go when I am transiting through Ventimiglia.
This hotel is probably one of the best places I have stayed in a while. The view was incredible! the hotel was super clean, comfortable and perfectly dated! It felt like a bit of a time warp because there was so much old school charm - but it had just the right updates and it was so well kept. So wonderfully clean
Amazing views and spotless clean! Everyone we came across was super nice and friendly, the room has a good size and it's very comfortable for a few nights. Located in Ventimiglia Alta so quite hillly which is something to be mindful of (the lift in the tunnel can be useful coming back from the centre).
The hotel staff were so friendly. The room was perfect for 3 single people with a bed each. It was nice and cool even though there was a heatwave. The owner went out of his way to get a taxi for us so we could make our train on time. Definitely would return.
The hosts are exceptionally personable. Warm, ready with excellent recommendations, eager to know you and guide you to things you are interested in.
This is so different from a hotel or Airbnb experience. Massimo and his family really made an impression!
Hospitaly was great! The location was perfect and Adolfo was a great host. The apartment is spacious and the views are incredible! We loved the beach and hearing the waives at night made it so relaxing. The best experience!!
The B&B was beautiful, clean, and very close to the train station. We really enjoyed our time there! The owner was extremely accommodating and helpful. We would recommend this place to anyone visiting Ventimiglia!
Awesome place! The room is just lovely and the terrace gives you an excellent view on the old city. Fully equipped with TV, aircon, ... I would definitely come back here when I stay in Ventimiglia!
Ventimiglia is a cute place, very authentic.
The apartment is very central, near restaurants and shops. The kitchen is furnished with everything you might need to spend a few days there.
It's a nice hotel but quite far from the railway station.
Ventimiglia is a great city, especially the old town "Ventimiglia Alta" and the view point of Belvedere San Michele.
