It was a pleasure spending our holidays at the Chi Ghinn - a unique experience that we will not forget. It's an enchanting place with a breathtaking view on the lake. Although it’s a bit difficult to reach it by car due to the narrow streets in the Bée district, the fantastic view is worth all the effort. The rooms are stylishly furnished and the wonderful Italian flair is reflected throughout the house. The breakfast is just perfect with freshly made coffee brought to the table, bread, homemade jam, yoghurt and freshly squeezed juice... The staff, especially Sainey, was extremely friendly, always helpful and we enjoyed the nice conversations. The Chi Ghinn gets a hundred percent recommendation from us.

A very pretty and picturesque part of the world. Easy access by boat to all the major towns and islands. Go south for one hour and you are in Milan. Go north for one hour and you are in the Swiss Alps. Lovely place.

We stayed in Intra, a smaller district / town part of Verbania. The town was great; it had shops, supermarkets, cultural activities, a small beach, great nightlife atmosphere with restaurants and bars. It felt safe to walk around at night. We did not like the busy main traffic road crossing right through the town. That was definitely the spoiler for us.
Beware of expensive restaurants serving poor quality food 'for the tourists'. Better buy food yourself and cook at your apartment if possible! Great quality Italian products at a third of the price. Great ferry trips departing often. Beware of the islands excursion, took forever to get to Isola Bella and definitely a bit of a tourist trap, a very beautiful one though!. Great hiking and biking excursions, just do a little research and there's loads of amazing places to see. Huge market on Saturday. Leather goods for all tastes. Be careful again, they will try and charge you heaven and earth for cheese, salamis, fruit etc. Otherwise, Fabulous!

Verbania is a good base for exploring the sights of Lake Maggiore. It has great facilities and is the starting point for boats and ferries on the lake. Verbania is attractive, with a pretty waterfront, a lovely old town and lots of shops and places to eat.

Verbania is a beautiful city on Lago Maggiore.
Verbania is a beautiful city on Lago Maggiore. There is a free market every Saturday, with good bargains and excellent fresh fruit and vegetables. The cathedral on San Vittore is a must see. And the Botanical Gardens: Villa Taranto is a great place to sit and enjoy the views of the Lake and Nature's Treasures.

Relaxing setting with lots of options. Visiting the beautiful islands on Lago Maggiore and Villa Taranto botanical gardens were highlights for us. The busy weekly market on Saturday brought out the tourists and visitors. Lots of options for restaurants in the town.

Eating out as well as shopping is excellent.
Eating out as well as shopping is excellent.
Corona safety meassures are observed in all places we visited.
I've been a regular visitor to the area for 40 years and I can say things have not deteriorated there like in many other places, on the contrary if anything the overall impression of the place has improved and is more attractive today - definitely no tourist trap.
This was not our first visit to Verbania, but the first time we stayed overnight. This is a beautiful hotel in a great location, close to the town center and everything you need. The queen-sized bed was comfortable, the lakeside view was great, and the room was spotlessly clean and all the décor and facilities were great. The breakfast was quite good. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and immediately attended to a minor problem we brought to their attention. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there!
The apartment is well-furnished, modern with all necessary equipment and centrally located. Rafaella is a very welcoming host and very responsive. We had a small issue/favor. In our booking, we asked for 5 individual beds and the flat had four beds. We reached out to Rafaella upon our arrival and she directly provided us with an extra bed.
The location is very central - in the middle of historic Intra. The boat harbor is less than a 5min walk along with main restaurants and supermarkets.
The property is a beautiful old Italian house and gardens, providing a wonderful oasis for a holiday by Lago Maggiore. It's 10 minutes walk to the waterfront. The room was lovely and large for us and very clean and comfortable. Our private bathroom was very spacious too.. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty.. The owners are a lively couple, really friendl and helpful. I would 100% recommend this b&b.
The apartment is easily accessible by car and closed to the attractions of the region: Valgrande, Verbania or other towns along the Lago Maggiore coast. Apartment very functional, parking accessible via a narrow side road, comfortable place for a family (2 adults with 2 children). In a 15min-walk you can reach a small and nice beach of the lake. Also very good support from our host, Elisa.
Quite a way out of Verbania and based on the main road so very noisy. Only one pillow provided. Owner very helpful getting us a restaurant booking in town. No A/C in the room. Across from a nature reserve which was lovely for walks down to the lake. Breakfast basic. Nice little balcony but noisy.
Location was excellent for many different activities close by and the staff was very helpful and nice. The location was also very quiet compared to other areas around . The hotel was very clean and modern. The breakfasts were good and sufficient choices.
Beautiful and just renovated apartment in the city centre of Pallanza. The apartment is fully equipped including the kitchen.
The owner offers a garage for additional 12€ per night. I think this should be mentioned in the description of the apartment.
Charming hotel and great value for money! We particularly liked:
- locked and secure storage room for bicycles as we were traveling by bike
-multilingual staff at the reception (German, French, Italian, English, …?)
- breakfast & courtyard/garden
The Breakfast was great !!! The room too, apart from the fact that the single room was very very small...Whereas most of the hotel give a small double for a single, each of us had a very small single for a single (kind of the chauffeur's room).
It was a bit cold in the room. We tried fixing the heating sensor on the wall up to 23 but still did not work. We were here end of October
This is an old fashion hotel, it has its charm. It is simple.
Thank you so much for the wonderful stay in Verbania. Our room was large and had a fantastic view. The staff were all very kind and helpful. The hotel has a historical charm. We would come back again!
Location is beautiful! We used it as stop point from Switzerland to south of Italy. The restaurant overlooks the lake and is a great place to enjoy some Italian food / wine while taking in the views
The hotel is located in Verbania's centre and it is close to all the main touristic sites. The staff is very helpful and there's a boat station of the local waterway just in front of the hotel.
Nice Hotel with atmosphere in the old town of Verbania, few minutes away from Lago Maggiore and city center. Beside of this very quiet. Very friendly hotel staff. Our dog was also welcome.
Hotel is located at a nice promenade with options to have a nice dinner outside along the street. Breakfast had been quite good - had much less in Italy already.
