Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good value for the money. Also, having the parking (paid) at the front door was a bonus.
If you go to Viterbo for the Papi Spa only, then this might be a good place to stay as you need to drive to the spa.

The location is super central - you can walk everywhere. No need to have a car but if you do there's some parking and although my car was too large for the tiny old streets, I was able to leave it in the local piazza.
I am a solo female traveller and I felt very safe.

One of the best hotels we stayed in Italy. Located outside Viterbo in beautiful area. The structure is dated, but in good condition. There is a nice pool and very good restorant. The room was spacious and we had a big terace.

Viterbo has a very large historic area, quite a lot of which is either pedestrianised or restricted to local traffic. It has a lot of parking areas outside the historic area, and there are elevators from two of them to the edge of the centre. We found Viterbo to be an underrated gem of a town. It was a university town which meant it provided a youthful population, with lots of eating options and price points. The medieval center of town was amazingly beautiful, and the locals were very friendly. It is easy to access nearby sites from this city, while still being close to Rome. Everything is close by, coffee places, restaurants, stores, and ice cream places! Did some souvenir shopping and antic too. On the back street, there is a Romeo and Juliet balcony !! I loved the vibe surrounding it. I fell in love with Viterbo. I am definitely going back next year. So much more to explore in this area than I expected.
