I loved outside onsen. The dinner was also vey good. We could choose our meal on the buffet. I found the idea of the open buffet very good. We took Japanese style room. It was fun;))) and comfortable. The view on the garden is beautiful and zen:)

Hakone Retreat Fore is a really special place. We loved being nestled in the forest, surrounded by the beautiful gardens and abundant nature. The staff came to collect us as we started walking up to the entrance from the bus stop. They were so welcoming and kind. We loved having a glass of welcome wine in the games room! The onsen is really lovely as well, and well equipped. We wished we had booked another night! I highly recommend making this one of your last stops on a Japanese holiday. It was the perfect way to relax after two weeks of sightseeing. Also the breakfast is amazing!

Service - The staff there are very friendly and helpful, they will try their best to answer your questions. 👍🏻 Food- The dinner and breakfast are very nice 👍🏻 must try! Onsen - There are two onsen which divided into male and female. No private onsen. Room- room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. Location - the hotel located just 550m away from Sounzan station. It is very convenient. But if you have big luggages I advice you to use the luggage transfer service, which u can find in Yumoto station. They will help to send and pick up ur luggages between Yumoto station and hotel with charges.

I loved the location being walkable from the ferry station and bus station. They have an in-house restaurant and cook up delicious food. The lounge area was perfect. It rained one entire day, so having books and a cosy place to sit and read helped pass time. The staff are warm and friendly. The capsule was comfortable, and the double bed size was more than enough for one person.

Absolutely incredible staff from the moment of arrival to the moment of departure. In particular, Yuuta was so helpful, attentive, and downright elegant. An EXCEPTIONAL breakfast and dinner were included with our room, prepared as Japanese interpretation of multi-course French cuisine. The view from the dining area was stunning. Absolutely wonderful. I believe all rooms include a private outdoor onsen (hot spring bath) where you can soak for hours while enjoying nature.
