The rooms are really spacious and the amenities provided are enough to make my stay great. Staff were also very nice and thoughtful. They placed umbrellas infront of our door on one morning as it was raining. We opened the door when going out and were pleasantly surprised! They advertised as no Mount Fuji view, but we were able to see some of it from our room garden. They also provide free afternoon tea at the lobby. We enjoyed tea while looking at Mount Fuji view. Amazing!!

There were good views of Mt Fuji from the dining room, the upstairs common room and the two private onsens.

We rented a car and drove from Tokyo to Yamanashi and for us it was perfect. We were able to see all 5 lakes in one day going from one to the other in succession.
The restaurants in the area offer a great variety of sushi, izakaya and bbq. There is also a great Omakase restaurant nearby the hotel called Fresh Water that offers a different experience to the usual tried and tested.
On the day of our departure back to Tokyo we decided to swing by Fuji Q Highland with low expectations - the theme park is legit with a great Naruto Village, high octane rollercoaster rides and from our own experience a great haunted house that lasts the majority of an hour to walk through.
Loved it. Would definitely revist the entire area.

Check the weather forecast before planning your trip to Kawaguchiko, as beside the view of Mt Fuji there's very little to do there, also restaurants are very rare and working hours is almost not existent, everything closes early or not open at all... so be mindful of the meals you should carry with you.

The view of the lake is absolutely stunning, but it's quite disappointed that we didn't catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji. It's always a good idea for travelers to check the weather beforehand.

Very nice Japanese ryokan room with tatami. The room also has a big space. Would be very nice in clear weather as you can see mt fuji straight from the window. Sadly when we were there fuji was not visible at all because it was snowing through the days. Location wise it is near lake kawaguchiko, however it is not very convenient if you don’t come with car, as it is a bit far from station. If you come by car there is free parking. The staff was nice and helpful. The breakfast was nice too! We got bento served in our room.
One of the best hotels I've stayed at in Japan. Very friendly, polite and helpful staff. When I said the neon lights were too bright for my eyes, I was given a quiet room with mountain view. And when I couldn't find the button to turn off the lamp on the wall, the staff even came up to my room immediately to show me how. The shuttle bus driver is also very nice and punctual. Thank you all very much! Bonus: The hotel has awesome breakfast, and is within walking distance to the lake and supermarket. Highly recommend.
This is our second time staying here and I will definitely stay here again and again. This ryokan is vegan-friendly, they prepared a vegan meal for me and my mom with food restrictions, although we informed about our preferences pretty late. They also have rental private bath. On the rooftop you can enjoy amazing view of Mt.Fuji from one side and lake and mountain view from another side. The service in this hotel is outstanding. The best ryokan we've stayed in Japan so far.
Clean room, nice surrounding and lobby.
Free shuttle bus to and from between hotel and Kawaguchiko station.
Counter staff are helpful and polite.
Excellent service of restaurant staff who served our Kaiseki dinner. He is a Japanese but spoke very fluent Mandarin.
Bed and mattress are of average, it would be excellent if have even better one.
Breakfast is not as much varieties as bigger hotels but the food is exquisite and delicious.
We were happy with everything overall.
Hotel is out of the way if the hustle and bustle of Lake Kawaguchiko. It's a reasonable trek to the lake but the scenery during the walk makes up for it.
You are supposed to be able to see a towering view of mt fuji from the road in front of the hotel but unfortunately during the 3 days we were there it was foggy and we could see anything.
When we come back to Fujikawaguchiko will definitely stay here again, hopefully it's sunny this time so we can see mt fuji.
Awesome lake view from the hotel lobby and our own room.
We stored our luggage before check-in and went off to explore. When we are back, the luggages were already placed in our room.
We booked the private onsen which was great. Their public onsen is just as good and includes a sauna room.
The staff will help you to park your car when you arrive.
This is our second time staying in this ryokan!
We enjoyed our stay and we’re surprised with the incredible views of Mt Fuji! I woke up early for the sunrise with a perfect view. It was close to restaurants and was a great stay for the 1 night we had in Fujikawaguchiko. We stayed in one of the rooms with views of Fuji. I would recommend this hotel, the facilities were great and we had a good sleep.
There was a shuttle bus to bring us to kawaguchiko station. It was quite convenient. The bad thing was you need to go to the information centre at kawaguchiko station so that they can call the hotel to come and fetch you. Do take note that the visitor centre closes at 5.20pm so anytime after that you will have to make the call yourselves.
The hotel was a little bit of a walk from the station (as we didn't book the shuttle) but it is in a good position between station, restaurants and the lake. The view of Mt Fuji from our window was spectacular as well as from the roof top. We chose the Japanese style breakfast tray was it was delicious
The hotel is a bit older, but the room was very pretty. The view of Mt. Fuji was fantastic. At night we had great wagyu barbecue in the hotel. In the morning we got up early to see the sunrise from the window, had a nice Japanese breakfast in the hotel and bathed in the onsen. It was super relaxing.
The hotel is new and clean. We like the welcome drink offering for free every evening which we can also get some food from the supermarket near by to enjoy with the drinks. The room size is compact but it's OK for 2 adults and 3-year-old kid for one night stay.
The professionalism and true care for each of the hotel’s guests. The meals were so incredible and the woman helping serve us was incredibly sweet, just made our stay wonderful and couldn’t recommend a better place for a traditional Japanese experience!
The room is very clean and breakfast is excellent. The staffs are very helpful, they helped us contact the insurance of our rental car.We really appreciated that. We’ll definitely come back and stay at Fuji view hotel next time we visit Kawaguchiko.
Great location you can saw Mont Fuji at the front door of the hotel. Staff so nice they even pick you up from Kawaguchiko station and drive you as many times as needed. Free delicious coffee and wonderful confort living room area.
A pleasant hotel - a traditional Japanese room with futon on tatami. Awesome view of Mt Fuji from my window. Kettle, tea and a mini refrigerator is available in the room. Great and clean public bath to soak your tiredness away.
The hotel looks new! Everything is clean. From outside specially inside. It is near the Kawaguchiko station and a rental bike shop just beside the building.
