It might not be for everyone, have to take one stop to Ofuna to transfer to other JR lines but very convenient visiting Kamakura and Enoshima. Plenty of stores around Fujusawa station for shopping. Airport bus to Narita and Haneda airports, although schedules not as frequent as pre-COVID check in advance.

Fujisawa is wonderful and relaxed, and we come here at least 3 times per year to get away from the city. It's so nice to be able to come and NOT rush, which is why we now always stay overnight. Otherwise it's too stressful to do and see things and then get back on a train to go home on the same day.
There ARE vegetarian and vegan-friendly places, but you have to find them. Use Happy Cow or another search engine to research before you come. Otherwise you'll be eating dinner at a convenience store (which isn't awful). Also, there aren't many places to eat breakfast unless you're ok with just a bakery.

Fujisawa is a beautiful city.
Fujisawa is a beautiful city. There’s something for everyone to enjoy whether you’re a city lover or a nature lover, you’ll find something fun and interesting to do. It’s not too far from Enoshima which is a great thing, it means you can access the beach by train in 10 minutes

We stayed in Enoshima, mainly to see the sights on the island. We didn't plan to spend much time on the beach - the facilities are basic and the sand and sea not too clean, but you could safely paddle and swim if you wanted to. Enoshima Island was interesting, the views from the tower and the rocks and caves were good. There were good views of Mount Fuji. There's not much else to see in Enoshima but Kamakura is close by train and definitely worth s day or two.

It's very smart to find a hotel in Fujisawa for the stay, if you may like to visit Kamakura area extensively for more days. I didn't plan any trip to visit and walk around in Fujisawa city, since Kamakura gathers so many interesting sightseeing venues there. In my views, Enoshima is just normal, so it is not necessary to list it into the must-be visiting, neither to buy the certain Pass the tourism office is promoting. If you may have spare time, just walk to visit it and climb up the not-so-high hill.
Although it is a bit difficult to find out the hotel at first, the hotel has prepared the instruction of the direction to make it easier. The location is convenient, where you can easily reach 3 different stations and the beach.
The 'hotel' is more likely to be seen as your home, and you can get everything you need in the room. (washing machine, dryer, refrigerator, bath/shower, kitchen... ).
With living room and Kitchen, you can enjoy some meals, drinks and chats with your friends and family, just like returning home everyday.
It is a clean house with two floors. My family (two adults and a child 2y.o.) took the first floor with one bedroom, living room, small Japanese style room, kitchen, bathroom and restroom. The apartment was clean and in good shape + free high-speed WiFi. The beach is about 700m from the house and to get there we went through the street full of souvenir stores and restaurants. We were happy that the parking lot is only 20-30m from the house and it is for free (reservation is required in advance).
The staff was so kind and helpful. They showed us to our room and around the facilities. The onsens were amazing- some of the best I've been to in Japan. Breakfast was great- so much food and such a great variety. They kept our bags during the day after we checked out while we explored. Would definitely recommend staying here. Easy to find, easy to access all of the activities on Enoshima Island.
This place was really an exceptional experience. The Japanese style room is really spacious and clean, the futon bed is made for you every day and it had a great view of Mount Fuji. Staff is extremely helpful and the breakfast is a real positive experience. The two onsen are beautifully decorated. The staff was happy to read my allergy card and adapt the breakfast menu to gluten free.
Close to Fujisawa station, with quite a number of eateries places nearby.
Walkable to Fujisawa Enoden line, but takes a while to reach Kamakura.
Room was generally clean and comfortable to stay though slightly smaller than expected.
There is also a small onsen in the hotel itself, which was great
The breakfast provided was excellent
Breakfast was very good. (So long as you like traditional Japanese breakfast with fish, pickels etc.)The ham side dish and the refillable drink bar for orange juice, soda etc was great.
The location of this ryokan couldn't be closer to all the main attractions and transport.
Room was bigger than expected, the bed and pillows are one of the most comfortable I ever had in Japanese hotels. It's a bit far from the main station (Fujisawa), but bus stop is right outside and Enoden station is justa short walk away.
Great value for price. Close to Fujisawa Station, restaurants, and night life. If it's bad weather there are restaurants in the basement and Saizeriya on the 2nd floor. There are sento (public baths) available and very relaxing.
Convenient location. Close to Fujisawa train station where you can easily access to Tokyo by Odakyu line, Yokohama by Tokaido line east and Kamakura by Enoshima line and Odawara/Izu/Hakone by Tokaido line west.
Clean, accessible, great comfort and staff was kind and present, just what you’re looking for if you plan to day trip to Enoshima or Kamakura for instance. Would come back this summer I hope ;)
The location was very close to the train station. The convenience store is just right next to it. The walking distance to Enoshima takes only 15 mins. Hotel's breakfast was super!
The beds and pillows here were the #1 most comfortable I've experienced during my 1-month trip around Japan. Location is perfect, room was clean and not outdated, friendly staff.
