It was a great location, very close to the train station and able to get to many great sights with ease.
Breakfast was good, room was probably the largest out of the rooms I stayed in on my trip to Japan. Staff were friendly and helpful, and patient with my Japanese not being great.

We booked two rooms, the front desk is nice, and they have four car parks at the back door, arrival earlier can book these car parks. The room size is OK, but my room's toilet has a poor smell, I need to go to another room for the toilet, but it looks quite clean. Have no idea about this smell. The front desk is very nice and friendly.

I was here for work, so I did not have time for visiting properly, but I have been here several times, so I know it a bit.
There is not much to see, as it is a small town, compared to Tokyo, Osaka or Sendai, but it has its positive aspects.
Located between Tokyo and Kyoto, it is a good starting point for visiting these cities, as well as Nagoya, Shizuoka, or the Izu peninsula.
It is famous for being the hometown of Yamaha and Suzuki, and you can visit the Museum of Musical Instruments as well as the Suzuki museum, an unexpectedly interesting spot.
It is the centre for the production of eels (unagi) and you can taste them deliciously prepared.
Good restaurants, not of the fine dining type, though, but good average quality and price
Not to miss: Tir-na-nog, the Baird Brewery Beer House

Very close to the Hamamatsu shinkansen station.
Very close to the Hamamatsu shinkansen station. This hotel was a nice cheaper option that's still closer to Nagoya where the hotels are quite expensive. The locals were very helpful with helping us with directions and were even interested in having conversation while trying their best to speak English.

It's a nice and lively city.
It's a nice and lively city. I liked it at once, beginning from the railway station. Thanks to my friend who lives there, I could see a lot in only two days. We visited the castle, the sand dunes, Hamana Lake (with the rope way), Museum of Musical Instruments, Museum of Mechanical Musical Instruments and a eel restaurant. Everything was great!

Hamamatsu is a very cosmopolitan city that is teeming with life throughout the day and evening. It has many transportation lines, western dining and shopping establishments and everywhere I went, the people were always willing to assist with communication issues, directions and putting up with my limited Japanese, even in the local Japanese restaurants. Other food offerings include French, Spanish, and Mexican style fusion. If you are looking for flowers, I would highly recommend Julia's Flower Shop. It is off the beaten track near my hotel, but Julia has an eye for artistically arranging, a gift for understanding customer needs and a heart for all her customers. It is an area with a fundamental Brazilian population which adds to the international offerings of food establishments. It is rich with multicultural historical museums and events with my favorite visit to a free local piano concert at the Shizuoka University of Art and Culture by a beautiful, gifted and talented local resident who has played throughout the world. This concert included a new composition that was sung by the artist and local children in Japanese and Portuguese. It was delightful. I visited the Museum of Musical Instruments which has an historical collection of musical instruments from around the world in a beautiful facility with a helpful staff and many informational video and audio presentations. I would visit this city again.

Honestly, even though it was an older hotel it was clean and had great breakfast included and a walking distance to Hamamatsu Station. I just really didn’t like that it smelled like cigarette smoke for the entire 4 nights I was there.
The location of the hotel is epic. It's close to the train & subway station. There are main shopping streets and several shopping malls in walking-distance. You will never go hungry. The hotel is connected to a cafe, where you could enjoy your coffee and breakfast (if you did not order breakfast) before you embark on another day trip. We accidently checked in a day earlier. The reception was kind enough to assist us with our booking.
I spent a little over 3 weeks with the lovely staff at Hotel Act Garden. Because I was staying for so long and just needed a place to sleep (I was in Hamahatsu for work) I wanted a place that was well-priced and didn't need a whole lot of extra facilities (Gyms etc.). The hotel represents excellent value for money, the comfort & cleanliness levels were very good, and the staff were amazing. Definitely recommend!
I chosen Hotel Sorriso, because it is located close to Hamamatsu Station. I was in Hamamatsu to visit a friend. The staff spoke decent English and were very welcoming! There was a buffet style curry dinner and breakfast in the hotel's dining area, both of which were very delicious, I was surprised by the quality of the food and how well it was presented! There is plenty of shopping and dining nearby.
We enjoyed our stay at Sansukan Kinryu very much. The room is spacious with separate dining area where you can enjoy the view of Hamana Lake. Japanese breakfast is fabulous and while we are enjoying it the housekeeper turn our mattresses into table with chairs. We really enjoyed zipping good complimentary Japanese green tea with the view of Hamana Lake and blossoming sakura.
We could not be more satisfied with this property. The breakfast was the best experience we had in our two weeks touring Japan. The wide selection of options was amazing. We drove in to Hamamatsu and took the train back to Tokyo and the convenience to the train station was exceptional. We would absolutely stay at this property when returning to this area.
The room always on the high floor we can enjoy the view of Hamamatsu City whether on the mountain side or the train station side nice and beautiful at night. The staffs at the breakfast room very polite and good services. variety of menu for the buffet breakfast
Room size is compact but very comfortable, short walk to Hamamatsu station
The room itself was amazing. The LED lights were great, the shower and bath were big and comfortable. The bath bubbles were a huge highlight. The bed was cozy. They had a nice massage chair. The food delivery service was timely and pretty delicious. The bathroom had the most amenities I’ve ever seen in a hotel ever. There was a huge TV.
The staff was very nice, the breakfast is abundant and quite varied. The hotel parking is small BUT the staff has a map with all the available parkings in the vicinity, with prices, and we ended up paying less for 1 day coin parking. Recommended if traveling by car.
I could enjoy the tasty breakfast which are full of local foods ODEN, Cha-soba( buckwheat made from green tea),dumpling and so on. Western one was also bery wonderful. In any way the breakfast is the best reason to choose this hotel.
The hotel is only a short walk from the station, which is great, and from the hotel it's very easy to catch a taxi or a bus to other locations that are worth visiting.
As always in Japan, the staff was very polite and helpful.
Great location, and great facilities. I loved that there was a small room for manga (although I couldn't read any as my Japanese isn't yet good enough) I also liked the free "serve yourself" alcohol and soft drinks bar.
Budget friendly. Great location, just a few minutes from Hamamatsu south exit, hotel looks new and rooms are cozy!
There’s also a coffee machine on the lobby, love the free refills! I would definitely go back!
The hotel was very spacious and the bed was comfortable, the staff were happy to help and answer my questions. The hotel was very easy to find and is relatively close to Hamamatsu's major station.
excellent japanese style breakfast; location is 2 mins walking from train station; small supermarket just on the ground floor; rooms are small but well equipped and serviced
Amazing accommodating staff and really friendly. The room was quite sizable for Japan standards and had a convenient laundry and cooking facilities in the room.
The staff was amazing. Super kind. I would recommend the hotel even just for the kindness of the staff, their willingness to help and make you feel at home.
Good location, decent breakfast. Rooms are very typical for a Japanese business hotel. Staff was kind and accommodating. Good value for the money for sure.
