The food was great. I have been to some ryokans where the food is underwhelming (even though they are like 10 course kaiseki). But here, dinner and breakfast were both great. And the staff were very accommodating and they spoke basic English. The place is extremely serene. And actually quite small which i enjoyed. I stayed during holiday season so I think there was a bit of surge of price, but at a normal price, it would be a great deal. Also, around the ryokan, the town has a cool temple and a cute roads and places that could be an hour or two of touring

We stayed with our family of 5 and felt so comfortable and at home in the apartment. The breakfast was delicious and had great variety that everyone enjoyed. The apartment had everything we needed and the hosts were so kind and welcoming. It was close to the station so very easy to get around town.
