Chalet Ivy Jozankei, hotel in Jozankei

Set in Jozankei, 27 km from Sapporo Station, Chalet Ivy Jozankei offers accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge.

Both breakfast and dinner were absolutely fantastic. The master chef, Mr, Ito was exceptional. I have traveled several countries with well-known gastronomy including France one month ago and Italy 2 weeks ago. Food at Chalet Ivy was by far the best. It should be on the Michelin star restaurant list.

Suizantei Club Jozankei-Adults Only, hotel in Jozankei

Offering spacious rooms with tatami (woven-straw) flooring, Western beds and free wired internet, Club Jozankei is 5 km from Lake Sapporo.

We have been visiting Hokkaido late March and the stay was wonderful. The staff was very nice and most of them had a very good level in English, we have a very fond memory of the people here ! The traditional Japanese breakfast was absolutely amazing and is a must to try ! The rooms and bathrooms are gorgeous, perfectly encompassing Japanese beauty and sobriety, the private outside bath could easily fit 3 people and it was a bliss in the middle of the snowy landscape ! Please note that tattoes are not allowed in the public bath even when covered. We recommend 100% ! Thanks again to the staff for everything !

Shogetsu Grand Hotel, hotel in Jozankei

Offering indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and a sauna, Shogetsu Grand Hotel features Western and Japanese-style rooms with a view of the gorge.

Everything was great, from the room, room size, onsen, food, lounge, and price. The room is spacious compared to many other japanese style room elsewhere and it's also very clean and comfortable. We had the half-board booking and both the dinner and breskfast were extraordinary. Both were kaiseki course meal with all kinds of food locally produced. We had more than enough food. Since we were traveling in a group of a few couples, we found the lounge area and the lounge snacks and drinks to be perfect to accommodate groups. There were honey tasting, beers, and after dinner snacks which were a perfect setting to just chill and hangout. Lastly, the hotel offer shuttle bus back to sapporo in the morning. The location is also good as it is a short walk to the Jozankei small town and to the bus stop.

Grand Blissen Hotel Jozankei, hotel in Jozankei

A 2-minute walk from Jozankei Shako-mae bus stop, Grand Blissen Hotel Jozankei offers rooms with a flat-screen TV. Guests can relax in public hot-spring bath.

My experience staying at the Grand Blissen Hotel Jozankei was outstanding! The staff were very professional, attentive, polite and friendly! We felt very well looked after throughout our stay here. We only knew very super basic Japanese phrases, but the staff were very accommodating, and did their utmost best to communicate with us (with a mix of English, basic Japanese words/phrases, and using a translator app where necessary). We felt very welcomed, happy and at ease. For meals, I was the only Vegetarian within my travelling group, and I had notified the hotel via email prior to our visit. Our group was very pleased with the Dinner and Breakfast! My Vegetarian meal was very well thought out, and it was very delicious! My meal did not feel lacking when compared to the standard menu, and I was very happy with it. Both the Public and the Private in-room Onsen facilities were marvellous! Both had an extraordinary view into the valley, the river, and the snowy mountain across the hotel. We even saw a few deer roaming about! The Public Onsen was very clean, and well supplied with amenities. We felt very relaxed and comfortable in the waters! When we were in Tokyo earlier, our skin were drying up from the water and the harsh body & hand wash (my eczema was flaring up). Our stay at this hotel rejuvenated our skin, and left us feeling silky smooth! Also, my words cannot fully describe how wonderful it felt to see the snow drifting gently towards us, to meet the steam that rose from the pools we sat in, all whilst we enjoyed the view of nature! Overall, I only have high praises for the Grand Blissen Hotel Jozankei, and I definitely recommend them!

    Small and quiet town.

Small and quiet town. Our hotel is a bit away from the city, therefore it is recommended to rent a car to visit this place. From the town, you can visit Hill of Buddha, Jozankei Farm, North Safari Sapporo Zoo, Futamitsuri Bridge, Hōheikyō Dam.
