It is an annex to a beautiful house and close to a historical street with sake makers. The host is wonderfully kind and helpful. We took a sweet local train to the next town to eat. It is two minute walk to a small train station.

The breakfast is perfect. although there are not too many choices of the dishes, most of the food offered are ureshino dishes, such as the roasted fishes, tofu, 明太子, peach flavor yogurt drink, etc. They taste very nice. And we had roast beef dinner in a restaurant outside the hotel.
The onsen on the roof is excellent: good view, hot, and the water is very soft . You will agree with me if you go there.
I stayed at a room for 6 (we are a group of 6). The room is spacious enough. The decoration is also new. The price really worth it.

Just wow. The breakfast was fantatsic,. The dinner was AMAZING,and so tasty. Pro tip: make sure to mention if you're allergic to something before you arrive, we forgot to mention that one of us was lactose intolerant and the desert had dairy in it, so the kitchen made my husband something different for desert, which was very nice of them, especially since that meant I had two deserts. It was also our honeymoon so we were gifted some champagne by the hotel staff.
The room is fantastic, and ours had a private onsen. The bed and the bathroom were lovely, and the hotel was too. We wandered around at night, and discovered a table tennis table where you play with flipflops instead of bats, as per local custom. The bar was nice too, and the bartender let me choose the music to play.
This ryokan's theme is music, and you can see how much the owners love music as it is literally everywhere.

Lovely family run traditional guest house. My room had a lovely view over the river. The owner was lovely and with limited English did her best at making me comfortable, helping me use the washing machine, and finding somewhere good for dinner. I arrived a little early and her mother was the only one on site and had no real English but still did her best to accomodate me until her daughter arrived to check me in. The hot bath was nice and there’s even a private one you can book for an hour too in case you’re a little uncomfortable with sharing. I think currently their dining room is being renovated so no meals at the onsen but lots around locally.

The ryokan is at a great place. Everything in Ureshino is in walking distance. (Which is helped by the fact that the entire town is quite small.) The room was beautiful, comfortable, well equipped and had a lot of space. The public bath is also very clean and well maintained. The pools are comfortable, and the medicinal water is of high quality. The sauna is nothing special, but it is also decently made and maintained, and it is also not the main attraction anyway.
The staff is very kind and really helpful when you reach out to them. The whole place is also very small and quiet, which is decent.
