This a very nice place to stay. The house is very clean, in a well-appreciated Japanese traditional style. The view few kilometers away is very impressive. Our host welomed us very warmly, with very good advices. We thank him a lot, and especially for the good trail he gave us around the river, in the mountain. If coming from the port, it is a little far away but the hotel is near a station, outside of that the hotel is in a great location for sightseeing. A good walk to Matsuyama Castle and other sightseeing spots but also right next to Dogo Onsen
The room was a bit small but still it had the necessary things needed and is still good value for your money.
Staff was very professional and helpful, despite the language barrier.
I would recommend staying here and I would definitely stay here again

I like that this hotel chain has free breakfast.
The staff was also very friendly and tried to communicate with hands and feet. Apparently nobody speaks English. I speak a bit Japanese though so it wasn’t a problem. They tried to communicate as best as they could and that’s what matters.

A great option for a solo traveller if you get a better deal from Booking on this accommodation. The prices can vary a lot, so that's also a reason why I didn't extend my stay. I love the shared baths – 2 baths in the female section and the water of the onsen one was just 36 degrees, which makes it bearable to stay for a longer period. Also, the room was huge enough to comfortably fit and open my luggage while still having some space for a morning stretch.
