We had a lovely stay at Sakuraya! The location was ideal, really close to the ferry port and main sites of the island. The room was so tranquil and cosy, we loved being able to lie on our comfy futons with the balcony door open and enjoy the sounds of nature. We were pleasantly surprised that we could use the public bath, as we have tattoos.

I don’t think we quite got full use of the guest house, as we sadly only stayed for one night, but it was a really lovely spot with good facilities. The shared shower and toilets were clean and convenient, and had all the essentials we needed including body wash, shampoo and hairdryer. We didn’t get to use it as it was booked, but the traditional bath on the first floor looked fabulous. The team checking us in were really welcoming and helpful, and gave us a tour of the guest house. We also really enjoyed the traditional futon sleeping arrangements, and woke up feeling refreshed.
