We liked everything about this hotel, which is located right on top practically of the Takasaki Train Station. It is clearly a hotel targeting businesspeople. The breakfast offerings were abundant and diverse, Western and Asian. There was a coin
self-service laundry which we used - and had not expected. Our room was small. Bed was very comfortable.

The breakfast is abundant with choices by Japanese standards. It's very authentic local food. Having stayed in many hotels in Tokyo, and this is really the best compared in any measure. The staff is super nice and courteous. The clean crew really pays attention. I have a small blanket. They always fold it nicely. The room has everything you need, and the location is fantastic. it is on the east side of the train station, not too crowded compared to the west side, but easy access to all the shops and food places.

We were at an event at the stadium which was walking distance from the hotel. The locals are helpful if you get lost. There's plenty of 7/11 shops to buy food from if you don't like the hotel breakfasts. There's a monument to visit and the train station has the Bullet train links to Ueno where you get on the "underground" style service into the city.

Definitely check out D'z racing cafe. The shop is a must stop at if you are a fan of Initial D, cars, or just want a quick bite to eat. Also check out the many "onsen" and the shrines that they have there.

The city wasn't so rural.
The city wasn't so rural. It could give vibe of metropolitan area as i wanted. Neither crowded nor sparse. I felt like there weren't enough branches of cheap eating chains. So we ended up having dinner at quite more expensive restaurant than we would usually do.
A nice hotel close to the train station, easy access to city, check-in possible in late hours, very convenient. Perfect for short stays. It's not the prettiest, but fair for the price!
I had a bit of trouble founding the air conditioning, but it's certainly there! You need to open a cabinet-like thingy and find 2 switches (the method of turning it on is written on a notice on the wall so no problem there, just locating the switches was tricky).
The location of the hotel was very convenient (if a little hard to locate at first). It was located in the station, near a shopping centre and matcha ice-cream shop. The size of the twin rooms were reasonable for Japan. There were good amenities in the bathroom including great shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser as well as razors, toothbrush, cotton buds etc. They provided two pillows - one tempur and the other a normal pillow
Great facilities and staff. Breakfast was delicious and with plenty of options (even for vegetarians. Vegans might have it harder, though). Loved all the complimentary extras: noodles, popsicles… And kudos to their efforts towards reducing plastic waste regarding the amenities. The location was excellent for sightseeing, close to Takasaki St. and a couple of bus stops. The staff kept our luggage for us even after check-out.
You could see the hotel from the JR station, that's how near it is, likely a 5 min walk. The check-in process was also fuss-free, no lengthy forms to be signed (just a short one). Check out was just dropping the key cards into a box and you can walk right out. Our room was also of decent size despite being in a city and so close to the station - there was space to open up two medium sized luggages.
The public bath was brilliant. But we especially loved the dinner. It was incredible. Great value for money with refills of rice. The breakfast was great too. The hotel is secluded but it has everything that you'd need, even beer in vending machines at normal prices. We'll definitely come back in the summer as there are lots of activities to do nearby.
The hotel very near to Takasaki station and we can walk through the sky bridge from the station direct to hotel. Very safe area and plenty of shopping store also department store, easy to find something to eat even late at night. Hotel so clean and staffs very friendly and helpful. My room is big enough. Would recommend to other friends
The hostel was less than a ten-minute walk from Takasaki Station. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of different foods. For a weekend with breakfast included, it was reasonably priced. I packed very lightly and was happy that toiletries and pajamas (yukata) were included.
Beautiful, quiet location, it was nice to be away from the cities. The home cooked dinner was exceptional and a real highlight for our group - do not skip it! Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Takasaki area or passing through, even if for just 1 night.
Staffs are nice and helpful. We booked the hotel in the last minute, when we got there, it was almost 11PM which was out of the service time. The parking was full, but the front desk staff nicely led us to got about property parking.
A completely typical Japanese chain hotel experience. Clean efficient and adequate comfort. Well located with many restaurants, shops and station close by. Short walk to castle site and galleries.
The room was small but clean and functional. I liked that the women’s public bath was open until late, and they gave a code to get in for security purposes. The hotel breakfast was also very good.
