It’s a family owned guest house with mother, father and two kids born 2020 and 2023. The father speaks English and that is friendly and eager to help.
The common area is the same as the family’s private space. As a family you have access to a big bath tub big enough for four people. The house is made out of mainly wood, which is spacious and cozy. They created small areas for kids to play. Example a small ropeway. The father likes spear fishing.
Relaxed atmosphere and helpful family made the trip to Amami really pleasant. Recommended.

Very quiet and spacious, clean and modern room. (Not sure why some reviews said it was noisy. It was as quiet as a monk's retreat!) We didn't have a car but the hotel picked and dropped us off at the airport. We rented bikes from the hotel and cycled to some amazing beaches. Restaurants within walking distance and bus stop right there. Enjoyed shopping at the gift shop. I was sad to leave. Limited English but they tried hard to communicate and with their English skills and Google translate, it wasn't a problem. Highly recommend this place.
