The East side of Ikebukuro is my favourite place to stay in Tokyo and the location of this hotel is exceptionally good. The neighbourhood is calm, away from the bustle of the station but still within easy walking distance.
The deluxe twin room was amazingly spacious and the beds were really big and comfortable. Pillows and duvets were nice and soft. The hotel itself is an older building that was partly renovated and updated. For example sink, toilet and shower appliances are newer and more modern than in other hotels of the same price range.
The room was very comfortable to stay in and we had a lovely view across the city from our window! We also loved the vintage Taisho-inspired look of the hotel, it felt very cosy.
