Excellent stay! Great deal for that price. 10-15mins by walk from Yokoku station, so it was easy to travel to Beppu or other cities. Also close to the Hiji Castle ruins, where you can take a walk by the sea. The area was super quite but with great places to eat. The staff was very nice and spoke english. Excellent breakfast for 500yen/person. Totally reccomend!!

The hotel was clean and I think has been recently updated. The room was a good size and lots of amenities were available.
The staff were all nice and checking in was easy.

It is a beautiful building up in the mountains, the design and the art are amazing. The rooms are spacious and very clean and comfortable, the food at the restaurant was excellent and the staff was very helpful in spite of the lack of basic english.
