Hosts were very organised and called me to ensure they knew our precise arrival time at the airport. They picked us up and also took us out to a local beach club when we said we wanted to go for a few beers. There were also fresh baursaks (I hope I've got that right!) in our kitchen for us, which was a very nice touch.

If you want the experience of staying in a 1960s genuine Soviet Khrushchyovka, go for this one. Whe you see the building exterior, you won't believe how wonderful it is inside. The apartment is so well thought out. Everything that you may need is there. Yet its compact and beautiful. We stayed as a family of four with our pet dog. Two additional bonuses its truly pet friendly and very close to Lake Balkhash.
