As the rooms are grouped around an inner courtyard (with pool), it is relatively quiet, despite the busy streets nearby.
The bed was comfortable. The location is good (the river with many lively restaurants is not far away), and many interesting sites are walking distance away.

Bed was incredibly comfortable and HUGE! Room was styled very nicely, had all the necessary accessories and extras. Air con was great which is important when it’s 38 degrees outside! Food in the restaurant, both downstairs and on the roof terrace was fantastic with big portions. Staff were great, very friendly and efficient. Hotel location was good, easy and fast to reach from the airport, view of the river across to Thailand, nice and quiet with a short walk into the centre of town.

Smaller hotel with many wood furnishings giving off a pleasant charge. I was in a very spacious room on the upper floor, outfitted with with a little filled minibar. The pool is a good size and cared for regularly. I actually also ate at their restaurant on both evenings and the food was delicious. Breakfast is a choice of three (Western, Asian, Local) and within each section you can choose the items.

Vientiane is starting out on its journey to become a popular tourist area - facilities are improving and what is there now works well. Modern hotels are in process of being built and transport infrastructure is developing - the China/Laos hi
gh-speed railway is certainly opening up this country.
Currently, mass tourism has not yet arrived (unlike many other places, where you seem to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with half the world's population).
If you want to go, go soon (but not in the wet season - wet is really wet!) - we can see that in a few year's time this lovely country could be overwhelmed with the evils of mass tourism, with hundreds of coaches queuing daily to get to the ancient cultural sites!

Title: Vientiane: A City of Charm and Culinary Delights
Review:
Vientiane, the heart of Laos, is a city that radiates charm and hospitality. During my visit, I was constantly struck by the friendliness of the locals, who added warmth to every encounter. The city's culinary scene was a delightful surprise; each meal, whether at a humble street stall or a cozy restaurant, was a delicious exploration of Laotian flavors. While Vientiane may not top the list for a single-visit itinerary in Laos, it's undeniably worth spending a few days in. The city offers a unique blend of tranquility and cultural richness, making it a pleasant and memorable part of any Laotian adventure.

Kinda sleepy, and not as many Day Tours and things to do as Luang Prabang or other nearby Asian cities. The only tour I did was because I saw a sign on a tree offering a three-site half day thing for just $10USD. His name is Tungchai and I recommend his tour ... Find him here ... https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100067140248570 ... After that, I decided on a flash one-night visit to Vang Vieng / Nam Ngum Lake. The bullet train is FANTASTIC and that area up there is beautiful!

I booked this Hotel for married friends who came for 3 nights. The room was excellent as was the price. I gave an outstanding review. Yesterday I sent another friend there as it was so good. At check in they tried to put him in a small, smelly room where nothing (TV, safe etc) were working. He was forced to go to Reception and tell them it wasn't good enough. He was then put into the room he booked. This is very disappointing and has me doubting my original review. It's a shame that things like this happen in this country regularly. If you get the room you booked, this Hotel is excellent. Best of Luck.

Beautiful city, capital of Laos.
Beautiful city, capital of Laos. The city is spread out but still very walkable or by tuk tuk with many things to see and eat. The night market is nearby the river with some sort of kiddie amusement park. There seems to be a mix of old and modern entertainment to explore but I didn't do much (busy working). Lots of food stalls, dining options. Haven't had one bad meal but some are better than others for sure. The night food market near D Mart is superb for food finds.
We arrived later than planned and the hotel was waiting or us and checked us in quickly. We were tired and hungry and they helped us get dinner quickly in the beautiful lobby wine bar/restaurant. The room was comfortable and offered in-room coffee and tea. The breakfast was ample and delicious. I wish we had more time in Vientiane - we were only there overnight and had a short visit in the morning before flying out. But I hope to return.
I booked this place because I wanted a hostel that could help me book tours around northern Laos, and they did not disappoint! Helped me book cheap tours that were great. Good location, super helpful staff, lots of food recommendations. Air conditioning is on at night and very good, lobby stays cool throughout the day. Wifi had to reconnect regularly and was medium speed. the swimming pool big i love it
Love this hotel, located in central of vientiane, right to night market and mekong river.
Great view from room, you can see river and city view.
Friendly and helpful staff, good in comunication, they can speak English very well.
Tasty Buffet Breakfast , it's value for money.
Strong wifi, comfortable room.
Clean, nice,
Best Bugger on second floor Restaurant.
Highly recommend !
The host made me fall in love with Vientiane. He told me about all the things I could do there and I'm sorry I didn't stay longer. A very pleasant common lounge with a lot of reading materials about Laos. A nice terrace with sunset view outside the room. Perfect location in the middle of this quiet city.
In conclusion, my stay at Hotel was a truly magical experience. I cannot commend the staff and management enough. Good location in the city center. If you're looking for a place that combines comfort, and exceptional service, Hotel is the perfect choice. I can't wait for my next visit!
5 star rating for a budget hotel. Comfortable, clean. Our room had tv, cable, WiFi, big refrigerator, hot plate, microwave, a few dishes, pots, etc. Of course a shower and toilet. Not much English spoken but not a problem
We are staying again when we go back to Vientiane next week.
Small, quiet hotel in a great location. The pool was very nice and the room was comfortable. Short walk to the night market. Staff, especially Tommy, were very helpful with recommendations, transportation, and tickets. I’d definitely stay there again.
Everything, cleanest hostel of my 12 days in Laos.
The bed comes with clean linens and you have privacy with the curtains.
The hostel feels safe and the staff is great.
They even helped me to book a taxi for an early flight.
I was impressed by the attention of the hotel Manager, Afeee.
He always had time to talk about Laos.
He took me on a trip around the city and we talked about the history and culture of the Laos people.

Mixed feelings on this hotel. At first glance - super. Staff friendly, good check in , lots of facilities but not quite the usual 5 star standards. However for Vientiane I think probably one of the best in the city.
Staff was super helpful planning out the remainder of my time in Laos and booking train tickets with no markup. Learned the drinking game 3-6-9 with people I met here (not a party hostel, just met them here)
I love Laos and love Laos people. I was slept very deep and feel so good when I woke up. and the service was great and super yummy breakfast. sorry for that I ate a lot and want to go there again
The beds were so comfy, after 3 weeks of travelling around Laos and using Vientiane as my last stop, it's nice to have a really comfortable bed in Lao Poet Hotel. The room is beautiful too!
The hotel is centrally located and just a few minutes from the airport. The breakfast starts very late at 8 am but there a few good cafes and restaurants just around the corner.
The staff and the place is really great! Highly recommended for anyone who’s willing to stay at a hotel here in Vientiane. The receptionist’s service is good
