It's a fantastically designed property for the location and the safari was made more enjoyable by the fact that we were staying at this property. The staff member who showed us the property also provided us with meals - he was fantastic. The host communication was also good and made me feel at ease that we would enjoy the safari booked via the host.

The location was very convenient: near the park entrance and next to a wonderful lake. The safari experience started right on the shore of the lake, where we were able to see all kinds of birds during sunset. The dinners and breakfasts were delicious. The staff was kind and very helpful, we loved chatting with the owner. We also booked a safari through the property, and we were assigned a fantastic guide that went far and beyond to give us a very interesting and formative experience. Everything was done in full respect of the animals. We 100% recommend spending your time here!

Located between the main road and a small lake, its a convenient place to access the national park. The rooms are.modern and clean.

Friendly staff. Location is beautiful

It was really fun and lovely to be staying in a treehouse and being able to listen to and see the wildlife from our balcony. The hotel was also located right next to the national park which was very convenient. The food was also very tasty and the bed had a good mosquito net.

Our host was really kind, helpful and attentive, he arranged for us the Wilpattu National park private tour in jeep and a great dinner at the private terrasse of our house. Our host also organized and drove us to Sigiriya. He is the kindest host and person we met in Sri Lanka since we arrived. We highly recommend this private lovely house and would be pleased to stay again in a next trip !

We want to say thank you to Roshan and his family. First Roshan picked us up from the airport and we were welcomed by his family and staff. The first night we had a lovely Sri Lankan buffet and our rooms were amazing. Airconditioning worked really good and the bathrooms looked really good. The day after we went on a safari and Roshan arranged everything. We had such a good guide who was also very polite. The best part of the safari. Our guide spotted a leopard while driving. We also saw elephants, water buffalo’s, crocodiles, deers and more. The breakfast and lunch on the safari was also very good and really enough. The day after we wanted to go to Anuradhapura. Roshan and his wife drove us and he recommended a few temples that were close to each other and also not expensive. Afterwords he brought us all the way to Trincomalee. Roshan made sure everything was good for us during our stay and for that we are really grateful for We had a amazing experience and we couldn’t start our trip trough Sri Lanka started any better.

We stayed here 2 nights. The room was basic but ok. There is a refrigerator in the joint area that you can use to put your bottles of water or something else in. You can also take free water. We took a whole day safari, recommended by Dylan, the owner, and it was very good. Because we were the only 2 people for the safari we had the whole vehicle for ourselves. It was more expensive with only 2 persons but we were able to change seats during the entire safari so you could also see the animals better, because no other person is blocking your view. We saw 4 leopards thanks to our driver and one really close! :D The home stay is also close to the entrance of the park, so we were like the 4th vehicle in a long row of vehicles to drive inside the park. You had to wake up early bit we were happy that we didn't stay further away from the entrance. Dylan made sure we had enough food for breakfast and lunch and snacks during the entire safari. It was way too much food for us two so we gave some food & drinks to our driver. ;) But it was very nice that Dylan made sure we had a lot of choice in beverages and snacks. It was a long day but we did see lots of animals and the Wilpattu National park is absolutely beautiful, definitely compared to the Yala national park, which we did a couple of days later. We liked Wilpattu way more. In the evening you have diner together with the other guests of the home stay. The food is really good, fresh and it is different every evening. There is not a lot to do here in the day if you don't have a safari planned. We went on foot to a lake when we arrived, which was also nice. But if you are staying here longer I would recommend definitely doing the whole day safari and day tours to other places.

The property and tents are beautiful and the food is fantastic. The staff is friendly and helpful. The setup at night is absolutely magical with fire and lamps everywhere.
