Luxembourg is a small, clean, safe, easy, beautiful city.
Luxembourg is a small, clean, safe, easy, beautiful city. I used the (free) tram like it was a hop on hop off bus. I did a city walking tour and an art tour. I had pre-booked a Petrusse casements tour in English.
The tourist office was helpful. They told me about the art tour which I had not seen online.
Fort Thungen is open Wednesday evenings. The National museum and City museum are open late on Thursdays. Villa Vauban is open until 9pm on Fridays.
Not much goes on for tourists in Luxembourg on Mondays. I spent two of my six days (Sun/Mon) in Trier where all of the Roman sites are open on Mondays. The train to Trier is six euros RT, 45 minutes away. WOW did I do a lot of walking between Trier's Roman sites. If I had a do-over I'd buy a Trier bus pass.

It was amazing. A very beautiful city. After half an hour I felt like I never wanted to go home.
I had nice weather, could walk a lot around the city, tried the local foods and drinks.
I definitely will go back and recommend everyone to visit.
It was one of the most amazing places I've ever been.
I was lucky to visit the local market too.

Beautiful city with fairy tale views, nice walks (lovely along the river, through Parcs de la Petrusse) interesting history, and friendly people. Free public transport and/or very walkable, so very easy to get round this compact and pretty little city. Would thoroughly recommend. About 3 days was perfect, and I didn't feel like I'd missed anything, but if I'd have had longer, I would have gone further afield. Pretty kid friendly too from what I saw (although I didn't have kids). Struggled to find Luxembourgish food though.

Luxembourg is a pretty and romantic city with everything within easy walking distance. Plenty for people who love history, walking, cafes, bars or shopping. We loved or 3 day stay, it is peaceful and easy going. It is more expensive than other European cities but not wildly so ! There is plenty of greenery around too with pretty gardens and a big park.

A very interesting city.
First impression was 'how clean'! There was no litter anywhere!!
Public transport was clean, free and punctual.
Lots of walking, so sensible shoes required
We will return to the country and travel to visit other places (no time on this occasion).
The hotel has a perfect location just in front of the main railway station. I did not hear any traffic noise. There is a good connection to the city centre and the EU quarter by uber-modern tram. The staff was super nice, I must say. Mostly lovely Portuguese people. The best bit about the hotel was the breakfast. Freshly baked French pastry, home-made marmalade, on request prepared omelet or scrambled eggs, selection of cheeses and hams. The dining room is located on the first floor with a grand view over the railway-station square.
This is the biggest hostel I have ever stayed in - if you're used to small scale backpacking don't be surprised when you get here is it like a really large hotel catering to people and groups of all ages. The location is phenomenal, as is the city itself. You are staying beneath the UNESCO WHS and everything in the locality is stunning. The dorms are basic, there are no privacy curtains, but the view at the back of the hostel from the dorm rooms is lovely. This is the cheapest place to stay in Luxembourg.
The hotel is very well situated right next to bus stops, which makes it very easy and convenient to get back to the hotel or go to the airport/ city center (6-10 min to city center) - transport is free in Luxembourg so the hotel is a great location even though it is not central. The design of the room is very pretty, beds were super comfy and staff was very nice. The room also had tea/coffee/water which were much appreciated in the morning. The lobby/ bar of the hotel is very nice.
It's a hotel, like many others - however, I found the staff at the front desk very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast is good, and huge variety. Timings are fine.
I found the AC not too effective / efficient. But then, my tolerance of the heat is bad, and good for cold!
Location is not bad, you need to take a bus to the City Centre; the bus stop is a five minute walk from the hotel, and at least while I was there, public transport was free in Luxembourg.
Great hotel for the price! Quiet, comfortable rooms and soft beds. We had a family room and it was perfect for our family of 4. The bathrooms was modern and everything was very clean. We ordered food from their sister property next door and it was very good and reasonably priced. The hotel is a little outside the city center, but the tram runs right in front of the hotel and has you there in under 10 minutes. We had a great stay!
This excellent hotel, located near the station less than 4 mins walk; with buses and tram services (currently free) also beside the station. City centre is also about a 15 min fast paced walk. I stayed 4 nights. Breakfast was good, not the usual continental, which meant I did'n't have to eat the same thing every morning. The staff were cheerful and extremely helpful. I would stay here again. I can recommend it.
The room was very compact (as expected) so suited us for a 2 night stay but would be claustrophobic to stay any longer. The streets around it are a little dodgy, but it is an easy walk to the central train station, and regular trams into the city centre too - the trams are all ffree. The rooms was really clean and nicely decorated. Could have done with real cups for tea/coffee as only paper ones were available.
The room was quite clean, staff helpful.
Te position was not bad, 5 minutes walk from the airport, and 30 minutes by bus from the city center, but if someone would like to stay in the center, this hotel is quite far.
The public transport is free in Luxembourg, it is a very nice thing.
If you need to make a test to enter to a pub or to a restaurant, usually they provide free tests what is also a good thing.
Hotel is in a central location close to city center.
Staff were very nice and helpful, fast and easy check in. Very good communication when messaging before arrival. I was arriving early and asked if I could check in early they told me if possible they would accommodate this and when I arrived quite early my room was ready.
Nice spacious room with fridge, safe TV, bathroom and efficient WIFI.
Well-located hotel not too far from Luxembourg city center. Good value for money as the price is very reasonable compared to other accommodations in Luxembourg. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially the lady at breakfast. The hotel is clean and the room was pretty comfortable, we did not have any problem with loud airplane noises as other reviews have stated. Highly recommend.
Hotel was in a superb location, just a 10 minute walk from the city centre. We asked for a room close to the garden as we were travelling with a dog, and reception obliged by changing the allocated room to one next to a door to the garden and handy for offloading the luggage. The dog bed, toys and goodies were a nice touch for the dog. Both dinner and breakfast were top class.
The location was beautiful cause it’s surround by a lovely forest but is not so practical to go to the city center cause there’s only one bus that takes you there. It’s a few
minutes from the center but the hotel is on a mountain so is difficult to go by foot. If you have a car you will not have a problem. The room was fine and comfortable.
private parking in a reasonable price and the swimming pool was amazing room are newly furnished and super clean the service 24 hour and they have a cigar lounge I love this hotel you don’t need to use your car or any transportation just walk to the city center directly amazing location
very nice apartment, very central location, perfect if you have meetings in the city centre, if you have a longer stay maybe a hotel works better to keep the luggage, here was not super easy to get a taxi, but if you are on a quick trip to the city center it is very convenient.
This is budget hotel near the airport, don't expect wonders and you will be just fine. Room was just fine with just necessary stuff. The bus to city center stops in front of the hotel and you need ~15min to city center. Parking is provided by the hotel.
Location is great, a 1 minute walk to the main tram stop where you can get anywhere around the city centre. Hotel is close to bakeries, bars and restaurants. The room itself contains all the essentials. Shower has very good pressure.
Neighborhood, position. Was clean room. A good walking (15-20min) to the city center, easy to get from/to highway. Right in front of Belair park, accomodation of the hotel for 2 blankets, parking at the hotel.
Great boutique hotel very close to city center and shops and restaurants.
Great staff and breakfast is amazing and the person who was helping us with breakfast was simply amazing.
Location, close to the main train station and some stores. Best hotel in that area. The afternoon front desk receptionist was very nice showing me places to go look in the city.
