a beautiful town that is underrated, and under developed too...
a beautiful town that is underrated, and under developed too. The surrounding alps is sooooooo beautiful! but basic instrastructure is lacking - the bus station is only a parking lot with no ticket office. there are some abandoned properties. There are lots of beautiful trails but looks like hasn't been maintained for a long time and it's not accessible. And trashes are in the beautiful rivers, mountains, trails. with more people visiting Gusinje, and local government's effort - clean up trashes, improve the public insfrastructure, and most importantly set boundaries to protect the national park and environment, and improve the situation of the trails, hopefully it will help the local economy.

we did not spend much time in the town centre, but drove...
we did not spend much time in the town centre, but drove though it. There is very different feel about Gusinje and the Moslem influence can definitely be felt, with a large mosque located right in the town centre. The town centre was very busy and seemed to be full of visitors, so clearly there are things to do apart from the hiking...which is what took us there.Adrian M PickeringUnited Arab Emirates
