I enjoyed everything about the hotel and Perast. All the staff are very nice, receptionists, buggy drivers and staff in the restaurant in particular. All the facilities in the room are clearly worth the price. Hopefully I will stay in Grand Perast again in the future.

This is my second time here and it's still one of my favourite places. The view is picture-postcard – perfect for sitting on the terrace soaking up the sun – the apartment is very comfortable, and the host is a very kind and gracious gentleman who he helped me to catch my bus on the main road. Many thanks – I will return!

A must see, the highlight of our trip. Old and authentic with the small islands to go to by boat. People were very friendly and wonderful restaurants. Kotor city just near but we were happy to have stopped here.

The town of Perast over the past several years has become like a hotel, analogous to Sveti Stefan - looking beautiful and functioning great for tourists. Perast is very small, one can walk all along it within twenty minutes, and that explains, but does not justify the absence of any pharmacy in the town, which is my only complaint.

Picturesque old town with a nice beach front walk.
Picturesque old town with a nice beach front walk. All restaurants are expensive tourist traps with expensive lousy food. Parking is a nightmare. It is worth a 30 minute visit to walk along the beach front (make sure you are not hungry)

We had 3 weeks in Montenegro and spent the last 3 nights in Perast. We could have had another 2-3 days here to be fair. It is much calmer than Kotor and even though it is much smaller we enjoyed Perast better as a city. It is not so crowded and we enjoyed walking from Perast to Risan where we had lunch and then on the way back we stopped for a swim. We had lunch at an amazing oyster farm (the first one on your right as you walk back from Risan - search for "Mussles and Oysters farm with Restaurant" on Google). They were fully booked but still gave us a table and we had one of the best lunches!
We also spent a day swimming, there are several small "concrete piers" that you can swim from, good for both adults and children, but remember to have shoes to swim with, lots of mussels and rocks at some spots.
I also have to recommend a restaurant called “Underwater wine cellar Kraken Kotor”. A small independent restaurant, floating just outside of Perast on the way towards Kotor. We had a swim straight “of” the restaurant, good food and wine. It is an experience you will never forget!
We never went to Our lady of the rocks, it just seemed to be too crowded (unless you manage to get with the first taxi/tour in the morning). We did walk up in the church tower in the centre.

Perast was lovely, although with a young family a day trip...
Perast was lovely, although with a young family a day trip would have been long enough. There is a cafe which serves the best pizza I’ve ever eaten - Bocolibre I think it was called. If only there were more relaxed cafe type places to eat as all the restaurants serve the same dishes. It is truly pretty but lacks enough beach space for the amount of visitors. We used a spot on the road to enjoy swimming which was fine but not restful or much fun for young children.
We had a fantastic stay here during a 25th wedding anniversary trip. The staff were all friendly and helpful in every way they could be. Our room had perfect views straight out over the water. The buffet breakfast is was included in our rate and was hands down the best we’ve seen. Perast is a good location as a base for a few days in Montenegro, a short drive to Kotor and close enough for a day trip elsewhere in the country. The hotel also arranged a private boat tour of the Bay of Kotor including a visit to the Blue Cave.
The location couldn't have been better - steps away from the main road by the waterfront offering breathtaking views of Lady of the Rock and the mountains in the Bay of Kotor. The one bed apartment itself was very cozy and equipped with all necessary amenities. Very very comfy mattress and strong AC. Wifi worked perfectly. Great view from the window and a terrace for guests to use below. The host was very welcoming. Perast is a charming town and ideal to stay for a night or two when exploring Montenegro.
The accommodations are cozy, comfortable, and clean.
The interior has an old-world charm with a modern renovation.
The view from the window is breathtaking.
It's just a 2-minute walk to the beach, and there's a convenient store downstairs.
Across the street, there are boat excursions and kayak/paddleboard rentals.
The owner was friendly, gave us a tour before check-in, and helped with questions during our stay.
There are a large number of restaurants nearby where you can enjoy delicious meals.
Lovely hotel in the centre of Perast, facing the Kotor bay; the room are big, comfortable, and very clean. We were staying in a different building from the reception and a bit far from the pool, but it was nice to stay in one of this historic and authetinc houses, with an amazing sea view. The staff was very professional. The dinner was good, the atmosphere chic and elegant! I highly recommend this place for whoever wants to visit Kotor Bay. Perast is also the prettiest village in the bay.
Perfect stay.
Perast is a wonderful gem and the hotel, right next to the main square fitted right in. Confortable beds, clean rooms, very good breakfast (a la carte), a nice terrace, good restaurant.
We benefited from not staying in high season and had almost all the terrace almost for us. Kotor is a short drive away, but you can take the bus (preferable than taxi).
Very good comunication with the staff and the hotel, especially Jelena, that gave us most of the indications.
Nikoleta was a fantastic host and was available anytime if needed. The apartment was beautiful and clean with lots of extras, drinks, sweets, toiletries etc.
All the staff were really friendly and helpful.
Mikie took us to Tivat on his boat at a really good price as we were guests at Armonia and told us lots of history about Perast and Montenegro.
Thanks to all of you, you made our trip to Montenegro relaxing and most enjoyable.
We had a great 2 week stay at apartment Kula. The view and location are perfect and the flat is well equipped for cooking etc. Boris’s mother met us at the property and there were some delicious treats and fruit for us. The apartment was easy to locate and park at which is so helpful in Perast! We were also working remotely and the WiFi was fast and good. I’d recommend this as a base for exploring Montenegro.
This apartment is very comfortable, clean and cosy, with all the necessary equipment for a self-sustained stay. The village of Perast is very quiet and beautiful. I ralso recommend a small- boat trip to the nearby small island "Gospa od Shkrpyela" with a church and museum.
The host is very friendly and helpful, giving all the necessary advice, and much more.
I recommend this flat wholeheartedly!
It was our favorite place during our trip to Montenegro. David is a fantastic host, but also very importantly the apartment looks even better in real life than in the photos. It has a good atmosphere, and the outdoor terrace is fantastic for an evening dinner setting. It's one of those few places where you feel that your hosts do it for passion and not only for income.
Room is clean and nice. Nice furniture. Unfortunately, AC is very loud. No water for drinking is left for guests after first day. There is no decent beach nearby, so you have to pay taxi and beach bad, which altogether makes stay here very expensive. Perast is boring for more thank two days since there are no beaches and nothing to do.
The staff was very professional and friendly. They took the time to answer all of our questions - on Perast but also on Montenegro in general. They were very helpful and always smiling.
The breakfast and restaurant are really worth it and the view from the terrasse is breathtaking.
Rooms were large and clean.
This view is one of the most beautiful views above Perast I have ever seen. The host made the check-in process extremely easy and the location is world-class. You will be blown away by the private terrace and location within walking distance of the gorgeous town of Perast.
The apartment was exellent, very clean and all the facilities, even the wine glasess 😄
The madame was very polite and she recomandet us the best restaurant in the town.
Our trip to Perast was exellent and the madame helped us a lot. 😊
Beautiful boutique hotel in Perast. The views from the pool area over the bay were unbeatable, the room was immaculate & comfortable and Saša, the owner, made us feel extremely welcome. Would 100% recommend.
An exceptionally beautiful hotel with staff who are very customer oriented.
There are not enough words to praise the staff at Grand Hotel Perast. It was a memorable experience. We will surely return.
I am returning guest and every year I enjoy hotel Per Astra and its facilities more and more! Amazing view, food and staff! Perfect and spacious rooms with a breath of timeless Perast!
Central location, great property (both in esthetical and practical terms-), and friendly staff that go above and beyond. Seems like a much better value than the other nearby hotel.
Friendly wellcome of all staff, clean an recently renovated room with comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast on the terrace near the sea...We will come back for shure.
