Situated in Les Anses-dʼArlets, 24 km from Sainte-Luce, Lez'arlet Plage features barbecue facilities and free WiFi. Perfect location just off the beach, great amenities, lovely relaxing stay and well provisioned for cooking and beach activities. Great fast communication with the owner, Would certainly recommend.
The area was so lovely - Grande Anses and Les Anses were the two best beaches we came across during our 2 week stay - we had a car for 1 week and a yacht for the second so had ample opportunity to explore but at the end of our 2 weeks still thought where we started was best.
The shops were sadly lacking in basic foods . Two of the days they had no bread . The whole week , they had no French cheeses . Believe it , or not , they offered us Dairylea cheese triangles . Mon Dieu ! The local bus services are atrocious , there are no taxis and the locals weren't keen on hitch-hikers . If you want to visit Martinique , for heaven's sake hire a car .
We loved the place and the local people were very friendly. We enjoyed a drink in the Oasis bar/restaurant most days after sailing and had two very good dinners there - the staff were excellent and a pleasure to deal with. Shops have limited stock and you need to travel to a larger town to get supplies other than bakery and fruit/vegetables. However you can buy excellent fish in the fish market most mornings. Shop at side of church opens 4 pm to 8.pm Tuesdays to Saturday has veg/fruit/wine and cooked chickens. Essential to stock up for weekends as most shops seem to close for Sunday and Monday. Most places take credit/debit cards and there are two ATMs in the village. Sea is lukewarm and good snorkelling. Beach bar restaurants open all day but most close by c.5 o clock. Very quite place with lovely views and beach which might suit families and older people better than those looking for nightlife.
