It was the best vacation of our lives, we have never met such a level of hospitality anywhere. The accommodation was a simple guest house that satisfied all our needs. It was clean, if we asked, they cleaned it at any time. The breakfast and dinner were incredibly delicious and authentic, we could barely eat half of them, except for the fish, because it was always sold out:) Wamp is a very attentive host, he helped us with everything, we went on great trips and were able to participate a little in the life of the locals. Anyone who wants to experience the real Maldivian feeling should visit Himandhoo and Black Pearl is definitely the best guest house there!

The trip was truly incredible! We stayed for a week and had a wonderful time, thanks to every individual who worked at the resort, and everyone who had a part to play in putting our adventure together. From the moment we stepped off the boat, we were greeted by the owner and some of the staff, who couldn't have been more helpful throughout our stay, their attention to detail was phenomenal. The food in every restaurant was lovely, and there was enough to keep any palate satiated throughout their stay, along with a plethora of drinks options, whatever your tipple. The location itself was fantastic, surrounded by a magical reef that was teeming with wildlife, from colourful fishes, to turtles and reef sharks. Travel further afield and you can see manta-rays up close and personal, that one excursion was particularly awesome. If you want to be active on the island, the gym is adequately stocked with a enough equipment to keep you busy, and you can use the variety of water-sports equipment too, as well as a nice spa facility that offers expensive, but very enjoyable treatments. If you don't want to be so active, your time can be whiled away simply ogling the incredible turquoise waters, and the soft white sand that envelopes the island. Overall, we hoped that our trip to the Maldives was going to be special, and it exceeded our expectations in every sense, particularly the spell-binding scenery, but also the staff, they were awesome. We enjoyed celebrating our 20th anniversary, and we will no doubt return to celebrate another milestone in the future. Thank you!

This resort is a nice isolated intimate island, staff is very kind and welcoming, rooms are nice, clean. tidy and spacious, well equipped and services twice a day. Food is mediocre. Activities and attractions are limited - scuba diving is great, the rest of the excursions and watersports are below average and highly priced for the what you get. Our overall conclusion is "insufficient value for money" I have rated it as 4/5 because we've enjoyed our time, but almost any spot at the Maldives is enjoyable with no much effort required from the resort

The best feature of escaping to such an island is the absence of city noises (no cars, no honks, no construction, no city lights, etc.). It has just the right amount of quiet with a dash of nightlife. Perfect environment to recharge one's proverbial batteries. Although not included in the "All-Inclusive" package the Alizée Restaurant is their best place to dine. My favorite place was the sea, its corals, its fish, its serenity, and its natural beauty. Getting around the island is easy and the best way to do it is BAREFOOT... no shoes, sandals, flip-flops, just your feet in direct contact with the sand.

    Himandhoo is very green island.

Himandhoo is very green island. I know that other some other inhabited islands can have very limited vegetation, but this is not the case for Himandhoo - it is sooo green ;-) Also it has very lovely beach and the lagoon at the west end. There is another beach and east end, and there it is really close to the reef. The corals in "house reef" are mostly dead, like in other shallow waters in Maldives, but you can spot some young corals re-growing, so hopefully in a few years, the reef can be in better condition. But still, there are lots of different fishes, so you can reasonably enjoy snorkelling in shallow waters. If you are lucky you can meet turtle, eagle ray or even mantas. Nearby Himandhoo, there are some really amaizing places for diving and snorkelling - the south outer reef is alive and full of different corals and very close there is manta-point for diving where you can see mantas, sharks, and schools of different fish - really amazing place for diving.
