To Martin,
Thank you. We had a wonderful (less crowded) stay on your stunning island. The room was amazing, modern, comfortable, clean and spacious. Our bathroom had an open shower where we could see the moon at night time, it was magical. We had complimentary water during our stay at the guesthouse. A beach towel and other towel were also provided along with coffee.
The free breakfast was huge and delicious. So much so we chose to eat dinner every night at the restaurant as well. Very reasonably priced our meals were between 5-10US dollars each.
Aside from the hospitality from you and Shariq our favourite part of our stay was the close proximity to the bikini beach, which had amazing snorkelling so close to the shore. We saw black tip reef sharks, eagle ray, hawksbill turtles and many schools of fish. At night we went with Shariq to the ‘secret spot’ which isn’t really secret but we liked to think so… and we were beyond delighted to be joined with several eagle rays, sting rays and 5-6 nurse sharks one night. We loved our stay! You can also rent snorkels for 5US dollars a day and there are many excursions that are reasonably priced.
Thank you for organising our transport to and from the island by speedboat it took 2.15hours to get there and less than 2hours back (it can be rough for those prone to seasickness).
Thank you, we absolutely loved our stay.
* Please note when we arrived we were actually upgraded to another guesthouse owned by Martin, which is not on booking.com yet. We highly recommend it.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kihaa Resort during my visit to Maldives, and I must say that my experience exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived until the day of departure, every aspect of my stay was flawless, making it an unforgettable experience.
The cleanliness of the Villas was exemplary. As soon as I entered my Villa, I was greeted by a spotless and fresh environment. The housekeeping staff did a remarkable job maintaining the Villa' cleanliness throughout my stay, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic atmosphere. The attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness was truly commendable and added to the overall satisfaction of my stay.
The staff at Kihaa Maldives deserves special recognition for their exceptional hospitality and courteousness. From the front desk to the housekeeping team, every staff member I encountered went above and beyond to ensure that I had a memorable experience. They were always available to assist with any requests, provide helpful recommendations, and ensure that every aspect of my stay was taken care of. Their warm and friendly demeanor made me feel welcomed and valued as a guest, and it truly enhanced my overall impression of the Resort.
Another highlight of my stay was the delectable breakfast And Dinner offered at Kihaa Maldives Resort. The breakfast spread was diverse, featuring an array of mouthwatering options to suit every palate. From freshly baked pastries to a variety of fruits, cereals, hot dishes, and local specialties, there was something for everyone. The quality of the ood was outstanding, and the attentive staff ensured that everything was replenished promptly. Starting my day with such a delightful breakfast was the perfect way to energize and set a positive tone for the day ahead.
In conclusion, my stay at Kihaa Maldives was nothing short of exceptions. Next trip will be same for sure and my family like it.
This is a small local island. It’s quiet and simple.
This is a small local island. It’s quiet and simple. The people are friendly. The beach and the sea is beautiful. There are a few restaurants on the island. We have limited choice on food. We recommend the restaurant called Moonshell as it provides more international food and the price is reasonable. There is another cafe near the pier where we can eat local Maldivian food. The cafe is popular among locals. The island is very close to the Manta point called Hanifaru Bay. We recommend this manta excursion as this is a wonderful once in a lifetime experience. It is convenient to bring cash and exchange some Maldivian money to spend and pay for the meals.

A local island so don't expect the resort life - the beaches...
A local island so don't expect the resort life - the beaches look picture perfect, but the streets are full of trash. You can experience and learn about the local lifestyle, traditions etc. which is a big plus in my opinion. I read that the house reef is one of the best in the Maledives and I can absolutely vouch for that.

Maalhos is a beautiful island surrounded by white coral...
Maalhos is a beautiful island surrounded by white coral beaches. It has a forest full of palms and tropical trees and plants. If you visit it in the evening, use mosquito repellent. Local villagers are nice and friendly. There is a bikini beach with sun beds and amazing access to turquoise colour water. Beaches are white sand and on several parts of the island you can find corals and shells on the beach. There is a diving center, you can rent a water scooter or go for a snorkeling trip. Snorkeling was an amazing experience. We saw tropical fish, sting rays, corals and big turtles while snorkeling. We went for a dolphin watch and saw dozens of dolphins swimming and jumping in the sea. There is an isolated island close to Maalhos with beautiful turquoise lagoons. Unfortunately there was also quite a lot of trash when we visited and the forest is full of mosquitoes, so don't forget to take your repellent if you visit. During some months you can watch mantas. We had the luck and the blue bioluminescence plankton 3 or 4 nights on the beach, it was a breath taking experience. We stayed and took breakfast, lunch and dinner in Manta Reserve Hotel, which is the best place to stay in Maalhos. You can walk around the island in 45 minutes.
