Very nice place, all necessary installations in the room, hot water, heating, also there's a kitchen at the hotel where one can cook and have tea. The host helped us to get from the train and also to the bus station.

We took El Chepe to Creel from Divisadero on recommendation of it being 'lovely'. Actually isn't really anything there at all but a small town on the El Chepe line . There are a few 'local' tour spots but these were largely disappointing and very laughable , like 1 huge stone that looks like a frog from one angle only ....and mushroom stone where the top has been cemented to the bottom hey ho .
The tour of the Stone Monks is worth a visit.
The bus from Creel to Chihuahua is easy and we came out a day early with no problem just using same ticket. Journey between was interesting and different from the train ride so as a stop off to do both train and bus is probably worth it.
Creel is due to open an international airport opened in June 2023 which I think will change the whole place but not sure give it much more .
Visit Copper Canyon though is a must do.

It's small town family oriented.
It's small town family oriented. They cater to tourists and have plenty of stores and restaurants and are adequate in roads. This ain't the Ritz but to me has a charm unique to Copper Canyon. The newly completed airport is scheduled to open in March 2023 and growing pains should be natural for expansion. Just probably my favorite area for scenery in Mexico including Durango. Adventurous spirit is a plus, but the land is superior. Tours and rentals abound. Peaceful.

creel is an interesting town. we enjoyed the visit to the adventure park at divisidero, 44 km out of town. they have a cable car, zip line etc with a fine view of a small part of the canyon. of course the copper canyon train is very good but the food is not good on board and expensive..

The highlight of the trip is the Chepe train ride to or from Los Mochis. I also liked the train ride from Chihuahua, but my wife didn't find it special. We did a day trip to the adventure park which was also very good. Creel is small, and therefore is easy to get around. We also did some walking to nearby rock formations and native settlements.
We spent 2 1/2 days (3 nights) and it was about right.

Please use the 3 amigos for ways to visit the canyons.
Please use the 3 amigos for ways to visit the canyons. The staff there are super knowledgeable and genuinely excited about the area. The equipment is well maintained too.
Hiring bikes and automatic scooters is easy, safe and a great way to explore. There is little in Creel itself it's all about the scenery.

Creel is a small town.
Creel is a small town. You can do day trips to various locations around Creel. The most popular one is Divisardiro and the park where you view Copper Canyon. I felt the cost of the zip lines and cable car was expensive for Mexico. There are other day and half day excursions, visiting lakes, waterfalls and rock formations etc.
centre of Creel
New built room so everything clean and new
WiFI good
There are a couple of bench seats outside to sit on if need get outside small room space....could make a difference if they tidied up area outside and and maybe made a sitting patio area would improve whole place tremendously
Do ask for English speaking guide if you want to take tours as owner has a very good local guide who speaks excellent English and did actually do a bit of translation for us.
So happy to have found this well managed, comfortable hotel. Our room was spacious, with a large writing desk and toasty (with heated floors) - so appreciated in January. A bonus was the large, shared kitchen with hot water for tea/coffee. Since we were driving, the onsite, secure parking was also a plus. They offer free pickup from the train station if you arrive by train. Diego was a perfect host.
This is a great place. Rooms are very good, cleaned every day. Guillermo is an excellent host, speaks english. He can help with every question about Creel.
Also, the hotel offers you a tours for a very good price. Juan is an excellent guide and a great man. He speaks English very good, it is really interesting to have a conversation with him.
Best place in Creel, i hope I'll go back sometime.
Very friendly service, great restaurant, nice courtyard pool area. And they offer a good range of fun adventures for reasonable prices. The rooms are fairly basic and the neighborhood itself isn't very interesting, but this is a very comfortable and welcoming place to come back to after one of the many great adventures in Creel and surrounds.
The location was very close to everything: the train station, Rápidos Cuauhtemoc bus station, water filling station, abarrotes and the plaza central. This place would be more economical for a group of people, rather than a solo traveler. The hotel employees/managers? are friendly and will help you out if you ask.
Really nice wooden apartment which seems to be really new. Friendly stuff and the house of the owner is direct behind the apartments. Good working hot shower and heater (it is really cold in Creel). About 15 minutes walk into the Center of Creel
we had complications with buses getting from chihuahua and they were helpful.
it was a lovely cosy warm retreat that felt really safe after a difficult journey. wish we had stayed longer in Creel.
perfect to catch train.
It was a stopover between towns in order to avoid a 7+ hour drive. Hotel is small although the outside deck and inside lounge area was nice. Good Mexican-style breakfast with various options cooked to order.
The hotel was in the middle of town which made it convenient to walk to shops and restaurants. The room is decorated in a mountain log cabin decor and was very cozy. the bed was super comfortable.
good mattress, clean, modern, nice hot shower, included breakfast was convenient since we left early in the morning.
Hotel is walkable from train station <10 minutes
A little hidden though
The hotel is new, clean and very comfy and he provides a coffee as well. The owner is super nice and very welcoming. The room comes with parking lots inside the facilities.
It is located exactly next to the bus station and in front of the Chepe station as well. The hotel staff service is quite good and they are very nice people.
