The hotel is in a perfect location right on the main square in Izamal. It was a little hard to find, but once inside, it's a magnificent old colonial style building with a small number of huge bedrooms with decorations which are totally in keeping with the building. There is a decent sized swimming pool, and a huge roof terrace with tables and chairs with great views of the square and convent.

Izamal is a lovely place to visit.
Izamal is a lovely place to visit. We had great food there, walk around and visited the pyramid. We also did a carriage ride around the city. Our guide was very informative about all the temples and apparently we stayed in the first hotel ever build in Izamal so we were told.

A gorgeous and photogenic city that feels much smaller than it is. It doesn’t feel touristy at all. There’s a pyramid in the middle of town that you can climb for free. The carriage driver I used was very personable and knowledgeable.

This colonial town is a must when exploring the Yicatan.
This colonial town is a must when exploring the Yicatan. It is clean safe and charming. There is a nice little museum in the square and a small craft market each day. There are romantic tours of the town by horse and carriage. The highlight is Convento de San Antonio. It is painted totally in yellow ( as is the town ) and is a stunning photograph moment.

Izamal is a lot more than just the famous yellow Convent.
Izamal is a lot more than just the famous yellow Convent. It's a great town to walk around and it was very surprising to find an amazing Mayan Pyramid just 2 blocks from the town centre, and more amazing to have the whole site to yourself!

I stayed in Izamal for two nights which was the perfect amount of time. There are quite a few Mayan pyramids and chapels scattered throughout the town that are easy to walk to-and-from. The main sight is Convento San Antonio de Padua. Be sure to visit on a Sunday when the church is open.

Izamal is a beautiful town. There is so much rich history.
Izamal is a beautiful town. There is so much rich history. We really wish our stay could have been longer. We highly recommend the horse drawn carriages. We did ours in the evening and our guide was amazing. Marcos was his name and I believe he mainly works in the evenings. Anyway, we cannot wait to come back.
We were very happy with breakfast. Basic but exactly what we needed and wanted. A big plate of fresh fruit, fresh warm tasty bread served with butter, jam and cheese and your choice of 2 styles of eggs or pancakes and of course coffee. The staff served everything up with a big smile. The overall atmosphere was very relaxing, friendly and inviting. Loved the hotel grounds and the pool is really cool. The walk into the city Center took maybe 10 minutes and that was walking slow.
Everything else was excellent and exceeded my expectations. The room was big, confortable with a king sized bed, fan and air conditioning.
Everything (room, sheet, amenities, etc...) is clean and tidy.
Small pool next to my room.
There were not many guests so the hotel was rather quiet.
Excellent value for money.
I hope/wish that all the other hotels I book will be/were like this one
Every part of my stay at this hotel met or exceeded what I need to be satisfied as a guest. It was very clean, quiet, a good value for this price range, and has a peaceful garden with a well maintained pool. The bed was comfortable, the shower with hot water, the air conditioner efficient and quiet, the staff helpful, and a grocery store one block away.
This well-renovated hacienda is just a few minutes away from Izamal, making it the perfect place to stay. The limited number of rooms makes it quiet, even with full occupancy. The staff is very friendly, and everything is clean. The included breakfast options are perfect for starting the day. I would stay there again without a doubt.
The lay out of the hotel is charming and comfortable with many local artifacts, and surrounded with beautiful plants and a water stream. Bathroom and hotel room was very clean and comfortable. There was a local souvenir shop inside that we enjoyed. Although, I wouldn’t return to this town, I would definitely stay in this spot again.
Beds are amazing and the hotel is very cute and with a beautiful swimming pool. Breakfast is also good and owners and staff are very friendly. Is in a quiet part of Izamal, that feels very safe. I would definetely recommend this hotel of you plan to stay in Izamal it has a lot of charm.
The hotel is really beautiful. The common areas are full of art, there is a bubbling Koi pond in the middle, and a lovely garden to sit and eat. The room was comfortable, good sized and the AC worked great.
The hotel is lovely and the pool is fantastic. Our room was on the second floor and overlooked the pool. At dusk the bats would swoop over the pool for a drink of water before beginning their foraging.
Really pleased we chose this hotel - as we arrived after dark and it was easy to find in the centre of the town - with places to eat and shops all nearby - but still very quiet rooms. Secure parking.
I can not imagine finding a more beautiful, well maintained hotel at this price any where. Perfect location, excellent staff. It was perfect in every way. Highly recommend it!
The room was spacious and the location is convenient. But the "garden" onto which open all rooms is also the parking lot for hotel customers. And you hear the neighbours.
Comfortable room in a lovely hotel with a pretty garden and pool area. The staff person who checked us in when we arrived late was extremely gracious and helpful.
