George Town is the perfect destination for those looking for a weekend getaway from the bustling concrete forest that is Kuala Lumpur. It is also perfect for those who hold a deep and special appreciation for cities that preserves their rich history and heritage. As you walk around the city, you can find yourself surrounded by many amazing street art and cute heritage sites, such as temples and other old Chinese architecture. And don't forget about the plethora of amazing and affordable street foods you can come across during your walk. Definitely don't end your day early and make the most of your evening as there are many night markets happening daily.

During our recent stay, Alan went above and beyond to ensure that our requests were handled efficiently and that we felt heard and valued as guests. His professionalism and dedication to his role did not go unnoticed, and it significantly contributed to the positive experience we had during our stay.
Exploring the local culinary scene, including Teksen Restaurant, Plus Eatery Cafe, Uncle Lim’s Kacang Tumbuk, and many others, was a true highlight of our trip. Having such a diverse selection of dining options nearby added immense value to our stay.
Thank you for providing us with a comfortable and convenient accommodation experience. We look forward to visiting again and indulging in more of the delicious offerings near your hotel.

UNESCO site, old buildings well kept, very clean streets all...
UNESCO site, old buildings well kept, very clean streets all around. Friendly neighborhood, most business operators are very welcoming too. CAT Free shuttle bus service is excellent. We had great time visiting Kek Lok Si, The Habitat, Penang Hill, Peranakan Museum Penang, Blue Mansion, War Museum.
"The Top" at Komtar is very disappointed visit though, staff are not welcoming, very bad attitude. facility around is poor too, access to entrance is somehow confusing. Overpriced & not worth the visit.
The city council should pay serious attention in maintaining walkway of shoplots as we noticed many of the shop operator blocked their front walkway by using huge pots & plants, chairs, signboard, motorcycles and so on, forcing pedestrians to walk on the road side & fight with oncoming traffic, which already packed with double parked cars, potentially causing unwanted accident, this to me is totally unacceptable in such a beautiful city.
Tourism board/City council should erect more signboard for main tourist attractions too, it definitely helps tourists to walk around.

Charming city with a long history.
Charming city with a long history. The local food is amazing! Try the hawker stalls, local nyonya food/ restaurants. But if you want something fancier like modern western food, there are many new restaurants opened by the younger generation. Lots of coffee cafes operated by young people and they are great! It is easy to get around Penang in a Grab, and cheap too. Spend 1/2 day in Penang Hill - take the train up. Its only 4.5 min over a 2 km steep climb. The visit is worth it.

Georgetown was delightful.
Full of old-world Asian charm.
The street food was amazing.
If you like pristine places, I would recommend Singapore. We preferred Penang Island to Singapore as there weren't as many cameras and rules mind you.
The location of this hotel is excellent. It is central to George Town. The Komtar bus station is one minute walk around the corner. The rooms are very spacious. Ask for a room at the back where there is a view over the town to the sea. Breakfast is superb with a lot of variety. The swimming pool is large and there are plenty of sun loungers. There is also a good sized shallow pool for children. The beds were very comfortable. The bed linen and towels were of a good quality. This is a very comfortable hotel with very good standards.
The total experience was great. We were lucky to be able to park our car under the hotel (the road in front of the hotel is very busy) and from that moment, the friendliness of all people and the clean hotel made a huge impression on us. The room was fantastic, very clean, modern and spacious. Location is also good, easy to walk to all nice streets and restaurants in George Town.
Each day we had breakfast made by May (she is fantastic by the way), what was outstanding. Overall a fantastic experience and definitely recommended.
The location is perfect. Check-in staff (Natasha) was very nice and welcoming, she arranged us very comfortable room. Other staffs were nice too! Restaurant was closed but there are many cafe/restaurants around. Car park is small but if you decide not to move your car and use grab or walk instead, you could secure one parking slot. Room was big and clean. Wifi and AC functioned well. In all, I highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again and again when in George Town.
We have been traveling around Malaysia for 2 weeks, and this was the best hotel of all. The staff is friendly and helpful. They gave us a lot of information about the city, places to visit, and even a list of vegetarian restaurants :)
The place is amazing. Restored old Chinese house from 1800, the atmosphere is relaxed with beautiful decoration. You have everything you need in your room plus, the bed is super comfy.
We will come back for sure!
Excellent location. Walking distance to many tourist attractions in George Town. Opposite the hotel is Kimberley Street where many hawker food and dim sum could be found. Famous local food and cafes are very accessible. As I arrived early on a weekday, check-in was smooth and efficient. There's also a water dispenser at the lobby which helps to reduce usage of bottled water. Room is quite spacious. Air-conditioning, hot water, safe are working well.
it was exceptional. such a unique and great experience. to be in the heart of George town in a traditional yet renovated building with so much history is enough to have a local taste of the city. the rooms are comfy clean and spacious and quiet considering the busy and narrow street where the hotel is located.
and the ladies running the place are all wonderful, helpful friendly and smiling throughout the whole day.
The location is perfect. It's close to several places to see in George town, e.g. Chinese Shrine, Hindu temple, Church, Mosque, the Esplanade, etc. There are a lot of dining options nearby.
Room and bed are clean. The hotel has free filtered water. The staffs are very nice and helpful. Basic amenities and facilities, but they are all I needed. I spent most of the time visiting places anyway.
I would stay again.
Very lovely hotel in the heart of George town. Very accessible to everything you need to see, all within 10 minutes walking distance. Very close to places of interest, but also bars and night life. The building is very clean, we noticed it won toilet of the year 2023, I would agree well deserved. Interesting concept for pool which is indoor outdoor so you can still swim when it rains.
The hotel is a lovely heritage hotel and it's ;location in George town was very central and easy to get around particularly if you like walking. Lots of Cafe's around with a range of cuisines. The staff are very friendly and willing to help at the drop of a hat.
I would recommend Noordin Mews to absolutely anyone who visits George Town. The hotel is beautiful, with an incredible attention to detail and quality, and the staff is all just so friendly and helpful. Thank you Noordin Mews team for such a wonderful stay!
Fantastic heritage boutique hotel, attention to details and every corner of this hotel is filled with cultures. The room is cozy and the bed is comfortable. Super friendly owners and excellence service from the hotel staffs. Will definitely revisit again!
Its location, and its simplicity. There was a hotel parking spot which I manage to secure and we ended up parking there for 2 days and 1 night. We went around George Town by walking/Grab.
Common facility was available.
Staff very nice and helpful. Location is perfect to visit George Town (2min to Blue Mansion by walk, 10min to Chulia Street). Colonial style hôtel well preserved with sea view!
The Hotel is at centre and you can easily get grab within short period. Food shops are nearby too. George Town is just walkway. Overall, enjoyed the holiday.
