The accommodation is simple, but for the price it's great.

This resort has a beautiful view of the Sulu Sea. And it can be quite windy, too, but we liked it. Quite a few golfers frequent this place during our stay.
The rooms has old furnishings but still quite comfortable. This hotel has a coway drinking water in the hallway to fill up the hotel glass bottle in the room. So no plastic bottles are used.

I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. The host when I first checked in came across friendly and approachable. Although I never saw him again after check in. The accommodation is in a great location right on the edge of the sandy beach and only a short 2 min drive from the northern point.
Situated in Tiga Papan, a few steps from Kalampunian Beach, Tumombuvoi Homestay (Sidi place) features air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi.

The most fantastic location! White beach, clean room, great airconditioning and such amazing food! The best we had in all our stain in Malaysia. Also great for stargazing, snorkelling and spotting monkeys on the side of the road. Super friendly people (and dogs) too!! 10/10 would recommend!
Tumombuvoi Homestay (Sidi place) is situated in Tiga Papan. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and Kalampunian Beach is a few steps away.

Quiet place, very few tourists. Beautiful beach. Not much to do, but that can be a good thing. Its a place of relaxation and appreciation of nature. Cabin itself was perfect. Hygienic and comfortable. Location could not be closer to the beach. One thing to keep in mind is that there are lots of dogs but they're friendly.

Nestled in the northern reaches of Borneo, Kudat is an enchanting district that unveils a world of natural beauty and cultural richness. Our time here was nothing short of mesmerizing.
Nature enthusiasts will be enthralled by the diverse landscapes that Kudat offers. From the stunning beaches like Tip of Borneo, where the South China Sea meets the Sulu Sea in a breathtaking convergence, to the lush greenery of the countryside, Kudat paints a picture of serenity and raw beauty.
The local culture and traditions are woven intricately into the fabric of everyday life. Exploring the Rungus Longhouses was a highlight, providing a glimpse into the indigenous way of life, adorned with vibrant traditions and warm hospitality. The Tamu (local market) was a kaleidoscope of colors, scents, and flavors, offering an authentic immersion into the local lifestyle.
Kudat's culinary scene deserves accolades. Fresh seafood straight from the sea to the table was a delightful experience, coupled with flavorsome local dishes that tantalized our taste buds and left us craving for more.
While the pace of life in Kudat is slower, it's this unhurried rhythm that allows for genuine connections with both the surroundings and the welcoming locals.
For travelers seeking a serene escape filled with cultural richness, Kudat is a hidden gem waiting to be explored. Immerse yourself in its natural wonders and vibrant heritage, and you'll leave with memories to cherish for a lifetime.

Location and accommodation is not probably not to everyone liking.
If you like unpolished and very basic right at the sea than this can be your place to chill out. Tides over here are somewhere between 1,5-2 meters.

Apart from the tip of borneo, nothing much to do.
Apart from the tip of borneo, nothing much to do. Beach will not be so beautiful during Dec as the weather is bad. All the beautiful beach and blue water that you see in pictures do not apply if there is a tropical storm at the area. The Kudat down is boring and not as I have imagined. Tip, only go during good weather when the sea is calmer.

The friendly people, the sandy beaches and the coconut trees...
The friendly people, the sandy beaches and the coconut trees everywhere give Kudat district a special, relaxed, holiday feel, distinct from the rest of the west coast of Sabah. The Tip of Borneo is the focal point for beach goers, with its white sands and clear water, but any drive provides interesting insights into the local ways of life.

Kudat City is not worth visiting, the only interesting place...
Kudat City is not worth visiting, the only interesting place there is the food market. Well, if you do not want to see the marine life on the grill, do not go there at all.
The beaches (apart from our hotel beach) were very polluted by plastic and household waste.
The best restaurant in the area is in the Nine Huts Resort. Many vegetarian and vegan options too. Very helpful and smiling service. The food was probably the best we have experienced in Malaysia during our 2 weeks tour (Penang and Borneo).
If you have car, go to the "secret beach", google it on the maps. There is a nice bar called Robys - definitely worth visit for the sunset. The beach is clean because the owner of the bar cleans it. No public showers there however. The bar has showers, however had no water during our visit.
Chalet is right on the water. At high tide, can dive from the chalet into the sea. At low tide, can step out from the chalet onto the beach for a walk. Can hear the sound of the wave while sleeping. The host family cook dinner for us with sea foods we bought from Kudat. The host was very soft spoken, polite and informative. Speak English.
Very clean, a big corner house, very well decorated and well equipped with cooking utensils. perfect for a family or a group of 8-10 people. The lady host is very caring, friendly and helpful. The house is easy to find and checking in is simple. The rental is very reasonable. we have a happy stay at Sunnyday Homestay at Kudat , Tq.
Location is great. Bed was comfy and room is spacious. Took the family room n it has 2 bathrooms cos its a joined 2rooms. Overall very satisfied. Theres no lift here(3 storey building) but the staff is more than happy to carry ur bag into the room. Supermarket is just at ground floor, next to this hotel. Market is a walking distance.
Resort is located quite far distance from Kudat, so it's more suitable for those travel with own transport. It's just next to a unique rocky beach in Kudat, less than 10mins from resort by walk. If you want some private moment just to relax & away from busy city life, you may consider stay here.
kudat is a peaceful town, good place to run away from busy city, The resort is abit old but no bother for me and my girl,we both enjoyed.
Breakfast , fried chicken and curry chicken super delicious!!!
staff are helpfull and friendly
alot parkibg space
Looked great online with reviews. Was so excited to stay, however not only is it on a different island to Kudat (that is not stipulated any where) so a 1.5hr ferry’s ride then a 2hr car journey
The hotel exceeds my expectation. A very clean hotel with spacious space in the room. Staff is also friendly. The guest restroom at the reception floor was also spotless clean.
The location is good. It is the second time we have stayed here. I think the only descent place in Kudat.
Nice view of the sea, and it is walking distance.
