Unbelievable value for money. We stayed in the delux tents. They are super comfortable and nestled in the most magical fairytale forest setting. Breakfast was included and it was incredible. Wish we had had time to do a paragliding trip. The staff were so friendly and without exception went out of their way to serve us.

The kind of place that grows on you.

The kind of place that grows on you. The roads are very sandy in places so deflate your tires and you will manage well. 4x4 is not a must but certainly preferable. The road to Ponta Malongane is a track mostly but follow the directions and ask the locals as you go... They are very helpful

    Good food.

Good food. Friendly people It's quite difficult to get to so I would advise driving from South Africa as opposed to flying. The shuttles are quite expensive so economically it makes more sense to drive as its not that far from the South African border.

The food was delicious and the staff very professional and welcoming. The beds and sheets were clean and comfortable (always my priority.) The view is one of the most stunning I have ever seen a "Sky Island" perched above the beautiful coastal beaches with a birds-eye view. Special care was given to the natural environment preserving the indigenous plants and fauna. The birds greeted us every morning as we woke and you can catch glimpses of them as you take a scenic trek down to the pristine beach. We will be back!

There is little disturbance of nature.

There is little disturbance of nature. The foliage is let to flourish and only disturbed as little as possible when necessary - the roads are narrow and unpaved. Buildings are engulfed in trees! I particularly liked the Sky Island Resort. The tents are anchored to trees! Please do not miss the Drunken Clam - they sell some fire hot bottled chilli in addition to the usual cold intoxicating liquids! The seafood shop has amazing seafood at extremely reasonable prices. Whatever you do, drink 2M (not 2 metres as I had initially thought) in addition to my perrenial favourite Laurentina. The love Cafe does amazing giant prawns! Try it. Whatever you do, look for any place that does Matapa, a local delicacy of cassava (tapioc, manioc) leaves. In Zambia we call it Katapa and in DRC pondu.
