A city bursting at the seams. Still struggling from years of neglect and underinvestment. Poor infrastructure, poorly maintained and no evidence that it is equipping itself to deal with the opportunities and challenges of the 21st century. That said, people are really friendly and cope remarkably well with the numerous daily challenges the are forced to contend with.

I did not like that the Immigrations Officers try to cut my holiday short by one day; of my visa allowed and Air Ticket time. Then expect me to pay more to get a Visa extension.
My favorite place was Shasha Lagos State. But Lagos needs great Improvement to be more attractive and safe also for tourists. They need to clean up the streets, paint the buildings and build better roads and guttering. To stop rain floods water and giant puddles settling in the roads.
All this can provide jobs for the locals. And make the roads safer for the Locals; and improve travel access for local businesses, when a major city and town have good roads. Making it much easier to travel around LAGOS. And making the roads free from accidents and also safer for the locals and Tourists visiting in Nigeria Lagos.
I stayed in an apartment and we did our own cooking. My husband sometimes bought cooked foods in the supermarket. We drank bottled or boiled water. Kekes can be fun to travel and nip around Lagos in, the and yellow mini busses. I also use Ubers, but I avoid traveling on motor Bikes.
I did not get to visit any of the national tourist sites mentioned here via point 6 below, on this trip. As it I came to get married and spend more of a quality time with my new husband.

The city of Lagos is located in a beautiful place, but it is very dirty and some areas, especially the old part of the city, are very dangerous for tourists. What shocked me the most was the situation when, during a police check, the policeman demanded money from me and the fact that only travelers were allowed to enter the airport and families were not allowed. Omnipresent controls that have nothing to do with ensuring security but only with difficulties and providing space for possible corruption of officials. Being forced to pay bribes at every step is unacceptable to me as an EU citizen. I liked the attitude of the people. They are smiling and positive despite the poverty that befalls them. They are constantly dancing and singing.

Have cash with you, international debit/credit card transactions are declined a lot.
ATMs have a withdrawal limit of 10,000 Naira per transaction
Eating out is relatively expensive, especially around Victoria Island
Should have carried more money to the market, go to the Balogun market as well as Lekki. Balogun is better priced.

The overall ambiance of the hotel was so lovely and breathtaking, I enjoyed every moment of my stay. From the guest service down to the housekeeping, they made my stay memorable. It’s a place I will continually recommend to everyone that’s interested in visiting Lagos.
What I loved the most was the comfort of the room. It was like a home away from home and it was more comfortable and spacious than the beach resort I had previously stayed at on the island. The CEO was nice enough to let my husband and I book an extra day so that I could have somewhere to stay before my flight took off. He also showed great hospitality with more towels and bigger soaps than other hotels offered. This place is also very close to the airport.
The hotel is a very nice place. The personnel has been very welcoming and helpful anytime I needed assistance.
I was there for 5 nights and we had my friend wedding. The hotel let us have the wedding cocktail at the bar though it wasn't officially open yet. I will definitely come back when I stop by Lagos again.
I thought the rooms were clean and spacious. The food at the breakfast buffet had a nice selection from traditional Nigerian to International varieties. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel accepted International credit cards, which was convenient. I appreciated the daily water bottles in the room.
The hotel was extremely well laid out, the rooms were very clean, the bed was wonderful. The Wifi and TV were both great. The most important thing was the hotel was wonderfully quiet. This was the best hotel I have ever stayed at in my many trips to Lagos and will be the only place I consider in the future.
I throughly enjoyed the Nigerian breakfast the hotel had on offer. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. The room was a good size and very clean. The bathroom had many toiletries provided and slippers alongside a robe which were a lovely surprise. The water flow and temperature control were fantastic.
The location is perfect. Ambience. I particularly like how proxy it was to where I was having my seminar, a 7 minutes walk from the hotel, which helped tremendously in avoiding the usual Lagos traffic. The staff were particularly courteous, the quality of food was nice (local cuisine).
Clean, compact room. Great WiFi. Super helpful tips about how to move around Lagos. A value for money hotel. The Management gave me good advice on how to find my meeting location. They kept my work tools safe for me after checkout, so I could return to pick them after my meeting.
Very well located in Victoria Island.
Secure compound.
Excellent staff, friendly, helpful, willing to serve. Key names: Praise, Toyin, Lucky. So many!
Well equipped gym. Gorgeous swimming pool.
Felt like being in a European boutique hotel in Lagos, as expected!
Came back to stay after a week prior. The staff here are the most amazing!!! Shout out all of you! The hotel is lovely and in a perfect location. Food is amazing here and breakfast is great!!! Had a lovely stay thank you all!
They need a bit more selection. I also stayed at Lagos Continental and i think they had a lot more selections. Also, need to make sure the food is not spoilt. i Had spoilt rice though they removed it.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staffS was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Lagos.
