When we drove into the village, we were met with a tulip field, right next to the house. Couldn't have asked more for the location. The host couple was very warm and welcoming. Gave us great recommendations about local gems.

Very spacious and comfortable room with lovely outlook. Fabulous choice at breakfast and very helpful staff at reception. Great easy location to find and free parking. Lovely little landscaped park directly accessed from hotel so I could easily walk my dog in the morning in a lovely location. Inside the public spaces and rstaurant the decor was very nice too.

Hotel de Vooroever is located in West Friesland between the IJsselmeer Lake and Grote Vliet Lake. The surrounding area is ideal for fishing, walking and cycling tours along the water.

Not a lot, it was not what we expected. Bed was comfy but the the restored workman's hut looked tired, the windows were filthy and smelled damp. No tea or coffee or welcome biscuits.

Friendly and so helpful host. Very tasty and well balanced breakfast based on local products (cheese, milk), eggs, meat, fresh bread and juice. all was lovely, a beautiful room, a whole fully equipped separate kitchen for the guests, wonderful cozy breakfast where there is so much detail for your wants, we eat vegan and even though Hennie had little knowledge about this, she did her uppermost best to provide us a lovely breakfast and took wonderful care of all of us. We would def stay there again and recommend Hennie's home to everyone. :-)
