Amstelveen is a lovely wee place but being only 20 mins by car from Amsterdam centre you’ll want to go there. Amstelveen has local shops and amenities needed but there’s not a great deal to do in the area and not within walking distance.

I will write about my Room , I booked and paid for a studio XXL . They gave me room no. 013 . I think the room 013 is only XL and not XXL . Kindly check with them and your files . The hotel was conveniently located near a tram station.
The hotel was conveniently located near a tram station. It was an easy ride into town. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet. About a 10 minute walk down the street is a strip mall with some restaurants. We tried the kabob place while waiting to check in. It wasn't too bad. There is also a coffeeshop/gelato shop located there. That' the best part of the mall.

Very convenient location close to the airport with bus transportation right outside the property gates. Amstelveen looked like a lovely little town. Unfortunately we arrived late at night and had to leave first thing in the morning so did not have the opportunity to check out the area, restaurants, and night life.

You hardly see the next recommendation: walk up to the...
You hardly see the next recommendation: walk up to the Kalfjeslaan and turn right, walking eastward (look it up on Google maps). Walk all the way to the Amstel river and where you hit the river turn right (or have a cup of coffee and a portion "bitterballen" before you go on at the Kleine Kalfje =Small Calf), walk along the river and enjoy this typically Dutch landscape. Turn right at Machineweg MP until you hit Amstelveen again. This is a wonderful walk with sun or drizzle, not that much when it is raining.

We got good service with friendly personal, 24h. The hotel and the room are clean and they have alle the facilities we need. The location is perfect. The hotel is just next to tram stop Kronenburg which easily brought us to Amsterdam South train station and Amsterdam City Centre. Tried to do tram stop at A.J Ernststraat, 3rd stops from Kronenburg, for visiting Gelderlandplein shopping centre. There are many good restaurants and shops there.NataliaNorway

It has its own little shop so no need to walk that far. It is a very nice and quiet park. The bungalows are small but have all conveniences, including good internet. Parking in front of the bungalows and easy to reach to main free ways and the airport, as well as the Aalsmeer flower auction and affiliated businesses Ok

Commute to and from the airport was easy using a combination of tram and train. The same tram also takes you up into Amsterdam city centre.
