The hotel is lovely, comfortable, clean, fresh and quirky. Love the fact the 2 restaurants have a completely different vibe. Staff were very helpful and the availability of a secure bike store was a definite bonus. The restaurant has a good choice and the food was well prepared. It's not in the poshest part of the town but very quiet, close to the interesting old town and the cycle routes north and south. Don't be put off by the location. It's a gem of a place.

Hotel Royal is in the center of IJmuiden and is only a 20-minute walk from the IJmuiden-Newcastle Ferry Terminal. Front desk is opened from 08:00 hours till 21:30 hours. We have free Wi-Fi.

The room was excellent for a family, very spacious. The breakfast buffet was lovely and had a good selection. The location was nice, but very quiet at this time of year.
